I don't really see why this is such a massive topic, it's not like this game has a Binding of Isaac tier story. The sexual orientation of a fictional character should be the furthest thing from your mind when you think about playing a game like this. It's a silly fun little romp filled with references and people should treat it as such.

Ok look. From my point of view the Jedi are evil. But also I think Zag and Biggie kind of overreacted when egirl made this post clarifying or revealing or whatever that Cordelia is gay and is in a relationship with Fuji.

There's nothing wrong with this revelation. It's just a nice tidbit of lore the devs gave us, and it's alright that egirl wants to let other people know. But I also think egirl is maybe going overboard with trying to let people know about Cordelia's gayness/ defend it.

Golem of Time is right about all this. This is not nor should it be a "massive topic." Egirl Cthulhu is not the one who made this topic a big thing, they were just simply spreading this tiny bit of fun and interesting information. However I will say that egirl didn't help matters by escalating the tension, or whatever.

TLDR: Cordelia being gay is not a big deal. It's a fun piece of lore building that does not really drastically change anything.

Speaking as a straight person, I guess it's sad that will never be able to canonically sex or romance this attractive fictional women with huge boobs. But as I said, in the realm of rule34, reality can be whatever it wants to be. Please continue to draw Cordelia rule34 art.
