Two versions of game = achievements not unlocking on Steam?

Hi,
So I bought the game on itch.io first, played it for a while and recently bought it again on steam. Both versions are on the same HDD but in different folders. When I launched the game via steam, I was surprised to see that the in-game medals I had unlocked on the itch.io one were kept unlocked. Since then I've been trying to re-unlock them so they'd appear as achievements unlocked on steam.

(And achievements unlocked on the steam game were then marked as unlocked in the itch.io version)

Then I tried unlocking the [fill my pocket, vault, etc] achievements (collecting lots of money) on steam as I did before on the itch.io version. But even after going over $4k (as this screencap shows : https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/217898054601146369/904385370643370004/unknown.png ), these achievements remain locked on my steam account.

Is it an issue with the two versions? Does the steam version think I've already unlocked the collecting money achievements even tho they're locked in my steam account? Do I need to reset the game (and will it affect both steam and itch.io versions)?

I also had that (But in a different way)
For what I know, the achievments on steam should be unlocking normally, you just have to redo the in-game achievments.

But that's what I've been trying to do. Re-doing the in-game achievements on the steam version. It worked for many achievements (like unlocking a new character or finishing a run at a certain difficulty level), but not for those linked to collecting certain amounts of money.

I believe both versions of the game store your Save/Settings files in the same location, so they are both reading that, and Steam must consider them as already being unlocked??
It's something we'll have to look into.
What I can recommend in the meantime:

C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\Dead_Estate
Copy your settings and save file somewhere safe, just in case this doesn't work. Uninstall and reinstall the game. It should generate new Save files the next time you open. This should create a "fresh" profile to work towards achievements on.

If you don't want to start over, there is a free software called SAM (Steam Achievement Manager). You could use this to tell Steam to unlock the achievements that you should have otherwise earned. The only risk with that program is that the developers could can you (which we obviously won't do!) Steam doesn't care about cheesing achievements, so there shouldn't be any risk. But I would recommend researching that further, and knowing that you are downloading from a trusted source!

After the last update, I unlock medals but I don't get the steam achievements, for example, Cordelia's alternate costume when achieving the true ending with all characters. There is no achievement but there is a medal.

I have the same problem, I have 2,3 hours already and not even the "Die" achievement

Man i even resorted to using SAM because i honestly thought that the achievements where busted. I'll just reset it once things are fixed.

I haven't bought Dead Estate on itch.io, but it seems I have run into the same problem, where medals unlock, but achievements don't...

I think both issues should be addressed with the latest 1.1.1 patch!

-The game will not check your medals when launching. So if you have itch medals that weren't looking on Steam, they will now all register.
-And if you were simply missing a few achievements due to errors with the 1.1.0 patch on Steam, this should also now be fixed!

Mine did too, just reopened the game after the fix and it's there. Thanks for such an amazing game
