Is it the same on steam and Meta store?
I am thinking in getting this game, I am brand new to VR and got a Quest 3, just wondering If I get this game on Steam and play on PCVR will it be the exactly same game from the Quest 3 store?

Wondering where should I get this game

Each store handles their games differently.

If you buy it on Steam, then you need to use Steam in order to play it, or use the program that lets you play Steam VR games on the Quest.

IF you buy it on Meta's store, then you can play it on the Quest or on PC via the app, but not on Steam.

And no, you do not get a Steam key when buying on the Meta store.
And no, you do not get a Meta key when buying on Steam either.

But yes, they work the same on all platforms, but the only difference between each of them is that Meta can use passthrough gameplay, so you can play it and see your own room, while Steam does not support that feature.

Thanks, I decided to get it on meta so I can play far from the computer, I was just worried case the game had less content there

Does your meta link PC library show stuff you bought trough your meta quest 3? I am having issues with meta app on PC, while the account is the same and shows games bought/quest+ sub but whenever i go to games I know I own it wants me to purchase them in the meta link on PC while the meta quest 3 shows them fine.
Kinda weird as meta horizons on my phone shows correct stuff.

But I would go with PC version of this game, I have it on meta quest 3 and it runs bad IMO, would be better off PC.

Edit: just wanted to add the mobile thing

So it is the same game, and like others have said, if you get it on steam, you will havee to connect your headset to your pc......if you play in VR.
The Steam version comes with a pc version of the game which allows people to play without a vr headset. Just something to keep in mind

I didnt realise you could play it with no VR with steam. Then steam is superior option IMO.
Also Demeo is current in quest+ sub now (its something like xbox pass for games but games rotate and you have to get them while they are on rotation and you can keep them after)
Also worth mentioning that provided your PC can handle it, the Steam version looks significantly better than the Meta version. I have both, because I was gifted the Meta version and tried it, then bought it on sale on Steam and the difference is like looking at something in 720p vs near 4k with the Steam version. In particular, the figures themselves have outstanding sharpness and clarity around small details (faces in particular) compared to metas version.
I've been considering picking up this game. The Steam option is the clear winner as it works as both a standard PC game and in VR. Since I'm not tied to one particular VR headset, this option is more versatile and less hardware-specific moving forward.

I managed to configure Steam VR for my son's Quest 2 and just set up a Quest 3 the same way using Meta Link with the wireless option. Now I can use Steam VR anywhere in the house (note: a fast and stable network is a must).

Another reason to get the Steam version is the modding options available on CurseForge. It would be great to see workshop support for homebrew and such, but that may never happen.

In terms of value, my logic is that Demeo will cost me less than going to the movies twice at today's rates and will provide great value even if I only enjoy it for 6 hours.
From my understanding, shared from the devs about two years ago, there is no cross-save, meaning if you bought it on Meta Quest and were hoping to log in with an account to copy over your save game to Steam, you have to start over completely and that works both ways vice versa.

Also, buying it on Meta allows you to download the PC version with Oculus PC app and also access to the 2D version too.
