Is there a session save option?
Just started the game and am having a blast so far! However as soon as we started the second level of the campaign we had to take a break. It was then I realized there was no save option! We then had no choice but to leave the session and were disappointed to find no way to reload the session we left.
Is there a save function somewhere that I missed or is there one in the works? This game is very fun but our group wouldn't be able to spend several hours to complete a campaign in a single sitting.

You can only save when you reach the bazaar, which is the shop when you reach the exit of the current floor you at.
Once you at the shop, you can choose to save and leave, which saves your current session for that run.

Thanks for your response. I guess I missed that! I'll keep an eye out for that next time.

would be nice to be able to just SAVE and keep playing, or SAVE and return mid run. I can never finish a session with the daughter.

The fact that you can only save the game between levels is the reason me and my friends don't play this game. We love it otherwise, but that limitation alone makes it impractical for people who have jobs and so don't have unlimited free time. How long it takes to get through a level is highly variable.

I'll often have about an hour to play with my friends. A level might be done in 15 minutes. Or it might take 2 hours. And if it turns out to be the latter, we're screwed.

So we just play other games instead.

Yep. This feature is so needed, yet the developers continue to ignore it. So frustrating.

Devs please give us save in middle of maps aswell..spent my entire quest 2 battery+extra strap battery which lasted 1 and a half floor... so battery died...no xp...and a bit frustrated that this is not an option.. quest 2 have very limited batterytime for a game such as this, so please fix an option to save in the middle of game... or maybe an option where you have one save per level...so if you don't use it at the bazaar... u have it available to use when your battery runs dry?

Or at the VERY LEAST, let us KEEP our existing checkpoint upon death or if leaving the session before reaching the next floor. My roommate and I stopped playing after losing a 2nd/3rd floor checkpoint when dying or when we had to quit simply due to time constraints. Current checkpoint implementation is extremely punishing and a complete disregard for the players' time.

So question: I didn't save and leave at the shop, but bought cards instead, thinking I could just quit and save after I got to the next floor. When I got there and realized there was no such option WHATSOEVER, I quit the game. My question is this: was my game saved at the bazaar, or do I have to start all over?

If it is the latter, this is a massive pile of garbage as far as game design goes. And what is up with VR games making you force-quit all the time? Laziness! :axesword::COConetentacle:

Well that answers the question of whether they fixed it or not... at very least it could autosave at the bazaar??? Way to kill your game with awful choices, devs. Do you even listen to your community, or are you steadfast in your vision even if it means the death of the game? :holly_happy:

Just checking in and asking, has anything changed with saving? This game is in a current Humble Bundle but if the save system is still really inconvenient, I will probably pass.

Nothing changed, this is how they do the saving when you play.
Its probably because they wanted to avoid people able to load a save if they died or failed.

This is literally the only reason that I haven't bought this game in the Humble Bundle previously mentioned.

+1 for not buying this due to the un-userfriendly save strategy. It's surprising that devs still think this is ok. It may be a rogue-like, but it's not a quick one.

The save system is trash...for sure...

A lot of times I am really in the mood to play, but I can't be sure I will have time to get to the next save point, because it can take hours.... so I just don't start.

It is so stupid in skirmish mode that it is hard to even comprehend why anyone would think it is a good idea.... but it is what it is and there will definitely be times of rage due to lost progress....

The things is tho that the gameplay and atmosphere and presentation are all good. I mean really good. If it weren't for the horrible save system Demeo would rank among my favorites.

Most of the time you can get thru a level in under an hour....and the game is totally worth playing, even if the save system makes it a game you just wanna play alone once in a while.

I am just saying the game is on sale for like 15$ right now.....and it's worth checking out. The save system makes progression and multiplayer kinda useless anyways because unless you have a dedicated group to play with.... I mean who really cares if your dice are blue and gold or wooden when you are the only one who will see them...?

If you just get past the idea that it is a multiplayer game with progression and just play it as a single player game you'll definitely get your moneys worth. If it looks like something that would appeal to you try it out.... At 15$ its worth playing.

The save system ensures that I will never love this game, but I do like it and I am glad it is in my library.
