Demeo
Steam vs. Oculus Quest 2
Will I be possible to play it on PC if I buy it in Oculus Quest Store directly? Or - will I be able to play it on OQ2 (without PC) if I buy it on Steam?

+1. Store page mentions crossplay, but I want to be sure it is possible to play with Steam and Quest users

You will be able to play with PC users on Quest or vice versa but if you own it on quest that doesn't mean you also own the steam version or the other way around, that's just not a thing. You can buy it on steam and play it w/ a link cable or virtual desktop, just like any other steam VR game on quest, but that's it.

Advantages to buying on Steam, higher quality graphics and access to friend list.

Disadvantage is needing to use a link cable to play, so it's not as portable.

Oculus Air-Link disagrees but you do need a decent wifi 6 router for that but those are dirt cheap atm.

Get a good router, virtual desktop and forget wires. Playing steam vr games on my quest with 17ms latency, no wires at all even between my PC and the router,

Oculus Air-Link isn't available on the first Quest.

Edit: I just found a guide on how to activate Air Link on the Quest 1, will have to try it out.

I would rather buy on steam in case they add some ability to make customs maps later on.

Game is gorgeous, totally agree, the Quest 2 users can't see the poison and other visual effects, just color on the ground, feel bad for them.

i use a quest 2 linked to PC and see everything. It's awesome.
