In room "Administration": can't move, can't open menu

I suddenly was not able to move (WASD) anymore. The only thing I could do is open the diary and the inventory. Also, ESC for opening the menu did not work, so I wasn't able to save my progress. I was left with force quitting the game (ALT+F4) and therefore lost all progress! Two hours wasted. Why isn't there an autosave feature after clearing each room? I have to start over from the start to get the last 2 achievements. Does anyone have a save shortly before the Administration escape?
