Ascension level 15 impossible without cheating?

So, I now have over 2000 hours of the game being active, as well as a substantial amount of offline time. I have every achievement except ascension level 15 and the 5000 zone achievement, of which i'm on track to get later today. (Currently at zone 4800 and rising)
However, my highest ascension level is still only 7, and not even close to reaching 8. I'm out of affordable exp upgrades from every single currency.

I'm planning on quitting the game after reaching zone 5000, even if going from level 7->15 took me another 2000 hours, It would be absurdly long without anything else even going on since i've maxed out everything in the game that can be maxed out. That said, because the required amount of exp is going up for each level and my exp income isn't going up as quickly, I could easily see it taking another 4000 or even 5000 or even more hours of literally doing zero gameplay besides waiting.

Im not as far as you but I have a tower at ascension level 9, 1500 hours played, max wave 2900, we must be playing differently, I'm just funneling all my exp into conduit. Yea it's still gonna take forever but not impossible

I have found the key to winning this game, you guys are all doing it wrong, Gold is key, don't bother with red, just every day you play put the daily monster on 1 tower, place a shield remover then put bouncing towers to make them go forward and backwards increasing the odds of the monster having shield removed, I'll be number 1 1 day

I've reached highest ascension 15 on a tower and I've played the game for 114 days. The leaderboard title "Specialist" that requires highest ascension tower lvl 50 will take awhile though ;) Some of the other tier 4 leaderboard titles will also be difficult or take a huge amount of time... Some of them are probably close to impossible though, like "Mastermind" and "Unstoppable". Either way, I will continue playing the game for as long as I still enjoy it. Good Game! :)

My highest ascension level is 87 but I've been playing for almost 500 days. Focus on maxing every EXP upgrade there is, and don't start drone swarms until your EXP spell is ready to kick off (automate the spell for when you're AFK.) I run shield removal, EXP bonus, gold bonus, and essence bonus for my 4 spells, all of them set to auto-start and maxed out.
