Stuck around 400+ waves for a few days
I know that this game is pretty grindy so I've been prestiging every time I reach around wave 450 or so (because I cant progress further) but it's been like that for 2 or more days, the highest I got was 476 thanks to daily login bonus but that's that. The strategy im using is mention in one of the guides, 2 dps 2 gold lust and rest are support. Is there any critical aspect that possibly missed and should I not spam prestige and should instead hold a run for a few days ?

One thing that the guide doesnt talk about at all, at least from my recollection is the RNG factor of everything you get. Like my water towers are extremly weak since my artifacts didnt land often on water, also my cards did not either. So you might wanna check if maybe some other towers would pack more of a punch.

I see, but the numbers kinda doesn't make, both octapyre(fire) and shelly(water) both 6 stars and lvl 460 and 370 currently but the cost to level up them x10 are 228k and 210k which is too close for a almost 100 levels gap. And their dps are 6.35t and 926.35B with +350% for fire damage and +600% for water damage. I can't really warp my head around how the maths work

You relly should compare your monsters at lvl1, fresh after you started a map. Like my Octapyre is also my strongest tower, by almost 2 times to the next one, just because so many upgrades landed on it, and i didnt even farm attribute points into it.
Also you want as many different "Increase damage sources as you can".
Like for example the Tournament is going on at the Momennt. So try to get both Damage 1 and Damage 2. Each different instance is multiplicative. So its not Base Damage x (20% + 35%) but Base Damage x 20% x 35%. So already putting just one point into a new Damage buff gives you a lot of mileage. So, take a look if you are missing instances like that.

I was stuck around wave 700 for months before I saved up enough technology to get Squiddler (the water tech). It has an aura that has a chance to remove any immunities when enemies comes within range. Through lucking out I'm now scratching 1200 after just two days. Starting to slow down real bad now though, but soon I'll get to 1250 and unlock resource maps which probably will boost me a little bit further.
Try to save up that tech and get yourself a squiddler, it's a bloody essential tower.

Hey Kang, you're at what many would consider the hardest part of the game. So much happens between those milestones. You sound like you are on the right track, but there's so much variability between everyones accounts, along with the placement/maps you are choosing. I only ever pushed on Beach/Snowfall (sometimes Lava too). The rest I just used for farming, prestiged once I stopped one-shotting the enemies, and kept it rolling to keep earning more resources.

If you have Discord, join our Discord and post a picture of your layout on your 'push' setup, so people can take a look and give some advice (if any is needed). You can also post it here as well if you are not on Discord.

So, my progression per day is somewhat like this:
Play a map, till i get to a halt, start with the 2x Gold Bonus and end with the 2x Damage Bonus for a last push, then i prestige, do that till i land on my "Push" Map where i try to go the furthest for the day, and its only then that i use my daily login.
Cargo Carrier i just spawn whenever they are ready for the daily missions.
Now i saved for a few days to get 1k gems together for Ressourccepack IV, got 1 Point in each Techtree Entry and with it the corresponding Exotics. I exchanged the pack together with my Daily Login so i can push further, especially since its tournament today. Got me from 880 max this morning to 1080 right now..
Imho its important to prestige regularly, obviously depending on how much time you can invest, multiple times a day. Staying on the same map for days gets you nowhere.
Also you should run the game as much as possible if you can, since offline you just get gold.
Your monsters dont get EXP, you dont get Essence, really halting your progress.

Overall i would suggest looking trough all the menus and upgrades, look what would give you a good boost and is feasable to save up for and then just go towards that goal over the next days.

I recommand to do the daily quests as much as possible. Read the descriptions about "in range" effects of towers. Because of the 10 prestiges you go each day you should focus on speed (you need the prestiges not only for prestige but also for essence). Everything that increase the speed of the game is a good upgrade (especially the 500 gems 2x speed one). Also the "faster attack rate" upgrades are pretty good. Just kill the mobs as fast as possible, if they run through the lane its to slow so its time for prestige to build on the upgrades.

On the other hand it's the easiest way to just buy the cheepest upgrades. So its better to buy a 60 essence upgrade even if it sounds worthless than buying the next speed or crit upgrade. I hold every upgrade in every category at the same price lvl for steady progress.

And try to use as few towers as possible because they only get exp when they kill a mob. You need the exp for the ascension point upgrades, so better to stick to fewer towers.

PS: I'm at lv 1161 after 1 month playtime (pure F2P player for sure ;))
