Hard Reset?!?

How can I Hard Reset my game? Restarting from the beggining. With nothing unlocked.

this was impossible on mobile. im pretty sure there is not way to do it without going into the game files

Restarting from the beginning is currenty not possible. This requires starting over again by either making a new account or playing on a different platform.

I don't know what to think of this... A lot of other idle game offer the option to hard reset your game to start a new.
And it's not like it should be hard to code.
It's a simple button and a request to delete an entry in the database or put value to 0 in the database...

And then they would have to deal with a lot of requests - "I accidently pressed this button and deleted all my progress, please restore it otherwise I will refund everything I paid". It's much safer not to give such an option especially because it is impossible to get yourself into situation where you can't progress anymore because of some mistake in this game, so there is never a need for reset.

There is never a need to reset. But some player just want to experience the game differently after getting a touch of it.

I want to challenge myself against my friend who started recently. Also noticed a different way to play that I want to try.

Other game have a disclaimer that they will not restore save. And it's so easy to put a security/confirmation checkbox before deleting.

Also... Why is the game cloud save only? If I don't have internet I can't play? It's a idle game... Kinda pointless to make it cloud save only.

Well people will still press it and then complain that they lost all resources that they paid for. They would expect to have them back after reset but if you suggest just "to delete an entry in the database or put value to 0 in the database..." then they will lose those. Having to remember what users bought and restore it on reset will be a little more complicated than that.

Because of tournaments and leaderboards. To catch cheaters there are checks implemented which require server connection.

That ... I personally don't agree that someone spending real money on a virtual currency should get refunded after hard resetting.
You spent that virtual currency. Want to destroy your purchase and get refunded... Don't make sense to me. It's like I purchased a car. Crashed it and asked for a refund.

Exactly. But this they will have to explain this to people all the time if reset was available and didn't return things players paid for. And then players can just go and refund their payment through the bank which hurts the company more than if they have not paid at all.

Forgot that the majority of player are stupid... Shouldn't have this much hope in humanity...

Anyway. If the developer can manually reset my progression, that would be appreciated. I assume they use the steam ID in their database.

For this I recommend going to Discord (link is in game on Settings tab) and asking them there. I was told they are quite active there.
