How much stuff to expect in the future?
Hi,

I started SS14 as my first contact with the game and I'm currently 25+ hours into it. So far I love the fun, easy and effortless RP with all the people.

I'm curious how much bigger SS13 was in comparison to SS14. I saw videos featuring mutations that I haven't seen here yet. What would be the percentage of already transferred content and what fun stuff should I look forward to?

i find few problems in some servers
for example leviathan US east

since im stuck in eastern europe i only deal with lag
and i kinda expected more secret events like summoning a cosmic entity by getting sacrificed by a cult

tried frontier station since you get to pilot shuttle and it feels like youre a space rangers with more freedom and i kinda like that idea since not a lot of games tried it

but the barrier of entry is sometimes brutal and i got so unlucky that server went offline and now on some bunker mode
there goes another run
the HOP recommended me to just delete the character and start over

i bet not a lot of people know about this game cause everyone gets directed to space station 13
but if big youtubers made ss14 content then there quickly gonna be sever number issues

so right now the future we can hope for ss14 is just more players and the rest should fit together eventually

The big thing right now, I'd say, is the medical refactor to line up with how it was in SS13. In 13, every limb could be individually targeted, and every organ inside the body had their own health values and would cause problems if they were damaged or destroyed, which would require surgery in order to repair most major injuries.

There are also a lot of major antags that still need to be brought over to 14, such as wizards, cults, and changelings. All of these are pretty large and complex so will take some time to be completed.

The big thing with SS13 is because most every codebase there has been around for so long, every single one is drastically different from each other and play out in wildly different ways.

I assume at some point they will catch up to what Space Station 13 has, and then smash it outta the park from there. There's so much potential to add, especially since it's open source and you can volunteer to help.
