Mine Cart Puzzle Help

Title is pretty self-explanatory, how am I supposed to get the mine carts to the finish line?
I thought it would simply be pushing a box into the hole but then it fell all the way down. Then I thought "Oh I have to get planks of wood to make a bridge over the gap!" have 4 pieces of wood and I can't do anything.
So now I'm just stumped on how to solve the puzzle.

I'm wondering this as well. I'm just getting around to starting the mine. My theory is that you have to push multiple boxes down the hole, but the guide in the discussions here doesn't mention this.

Nevermind, I figured it out. You can push minecarts from one track to the other if they're right next to each other.
