When asking localization from some translator, it would be desirable for us to be able to supervise the translation, but unfortunately we do not have the ability to do so for languages other than Japanese and English.
This is a game about language, so we can't be half-hearted about language. very sorry.
At present, we are avoiding implementing Mercenary mode as it is difficult to handle.
The reason is as follows:
* In Varentuga, Automatically controlled unit placement is not great and requires a lot of script controlled adjustments.
=> It often forces players into absurd and irrational situations.
* Poor compatibility with District Politics functions that are player-centered operations.
=> COM is unlikely to be able to utilize them effectively.
However, we cannot overlook the fact that this is a game that focuses on the personal story about rabbis.
Therefore, we would like to consider implementing a game built on small fragmented factions and many alliances.
(Requirements for managing smaller units and more advanced coordination with allied forces than the current situation)
At this point, this is just a fantasy yet! :)
Thanks for the quick reply, and totally understandable! All I can ask for beyond that is for easy mode to be slightly easier. I have some friend's I'd like to recommend this game to, but they aren't the best at strategy games. Maybe with the next update, easy mode could, as an example, let the starting units for the player have higher levels? I would love to recommend your game to as many people as possible.
Your comment is right to the point.
Varentuga, the basis of this game has a complex system, and this game is in the difficult category.
This is because we are greedy people who want both a challenging game and a story that is worth reading. X)
However, for beginners or players who want to focus on the story, it might just be stressful.
To tell you the truth, in similar game we have created in the past, we have implemented a "story mode" with an extremely low difficulty level that allows players to focus on the story.
(Sorry, It's not on Steam, and it hasn't been translated into English...)
While this game has been enjoyed by hardcore RTS/SLG players, it might be time for us to consider implementing a similar, lower difficulty mode...
Also I don't know if it's too difficult or what, but if it's possible can you add another category for troops other than front/back? If so please consider placing cavalry in a separate category. It's doable from the player's end but a little annoying to set up each time.
