Anchorite is a hippy
I'm finding Anchorite far too quick to build alliances. I'm currently playing as Practical Romantic. I allied to Anchorite early on and defeated one player (even though Anchorite was trying to make me sign peace). At the same time, Anchorite allied to the only two other factions and is trying to make me ally them too. If I do, it will be 4v1 against Zephon at the end.

Also played some MP games against a friend (we fight to the death, no peace between us ever). The last two games he allied to Anchorite early on and received loads of gifts, whereas I struggled to pull Zephon into an alliance until the final escalation.

I feel like Zephon is slightly stronger militarity but this is far outweighed by Anchorite's coalition building.

He is not a hippie, he is alone, on an alien world, surrounded by angry natives whose planet he scorched, knowing he is bound to fight a machine god who knows no mercy against his kind, while leading the scarce remnants of them.

Of course he wants to make treaties, he needs allies yesterday!

Trash him, and then trash the trashcan. Humans are the only rightful trashers on this trashdump.

Yeah, Squidward just loves building alliances. The only reason he'll not sign a treaty with you is if you first befriend Furiosa or Skynet. Then again, I just finished a playthrough as the Blob and vaguely recall Squidward not liking my Gluttony trait.

I was surprised he doesn't like the Blob, given that he's the most diplomacy-oriented leader and looks like the most likely candidate to run a Star Wars bar.

I mean, his description says he is a 'pacifist, wise hermit'. He is basically Gandhi. Not enough weed or LSD for a hippie, though, I think.

Basically this. He is a cursed xenos that deserves the purging he got coming to him!

He's a slightly less genocidal version of Civ Gandhi.
