Untold Prophet is too powerful
The AI can't handle fighting Untold Prophet. Untold Prophet ability to convert units allows them to snowball and take over half the map because the other factions simply can't keep up. I've played at least a dozen games almost to completion and every game I see the same thing happening, they need to be nerfed.

This. That little brat hijacked my high-level units.

And probably some limitations by the sound of it

I do not understand the conversion mechanics in this game, I have seen Chieftess having non-Chieftess unit, and other factions as well. And there were no Untold Prophet in that game.

I had several of them hijack my army, hero and all lol

I agree with the cooldown increase.

Chieftess's units can hijack mechanical units. Playing untold prophet I managed to hijack the false prophet event hero using a converted ravager.

Chiftess bandits can hijack other units.

Every faction can research anything?

In Chieftess's and her Reavers' case the Hijack ability only truly activates once a mechanical unit...dunno how that works again. It either works once you eliminate a unit or that unit gets critical. Also it only works on mechanical units.

Maybe that's why I saw an abkhan that belonged to a faction.

I've seen the Prophet use the invulnerability buff on Acrin titans at low hp. Pretty annoying but also cool.

Mind control effects should probably not be allowed to work on quest entities and heroes.

Hijack only work on large mechanical units, so anything from the human or cyber airport/factory, along with the Valkyrie and Kyypt Archai.
and fortifications too, almost forgot

I suggested this for heroes, since I have no idea how you hijack a woman hardwired into a flying mech, or an AI. But following that logic hijack should only work on human vehicles, and that seems rather limiting, if reasonable.

You can also get units form another faction if you are allied and ask them for support.

Playing as the fallen soldier and good old Chieftess gave me some of her raiders :)

If you play as Untold Prophet you will see that the conversion price is very expensive and it scales with unit level (which can make the cost reach rather high levels such as over 500 influence to take over a Warden). It is not super powerful in your hands since the resource investment is often not worth the cost (except if you can take a key unit that does not require resources you do not have such as medics, as Voice really needs healing). In the AI's hands it is annoying when used against you but it generally should not push you over the edge. That being said, playing against a team of Untold Prophets 1 vs 3 would probably be impossible. I thought heroes were immune to this conversion, but may be misremembering.

Other Leaders can get non-faction units through several ways. There is a chance of getting units in caches. You can use influence to buy units from Zephon, Chieftess, or Anchorite with high enough reputation with them (call them and ask for support, prices for this are much more better than Untold Prophet's conversion, but you are more limited in choices and do not steal the unit). Some quests can give you units. There are items that summon units. Reavers can hijack adjacent large mechanical units that die.

Overall I would not consider Untold Prophet to be OP, unless you create specific scenarios for them (example 1 vs 3 Untold Prophets). In contrast, I would say Fallen Soldier (passive healing allows him to avoid losing momentum and is very powerful on units with low max HP) and Rogue Operative (hit and run is very powerful, augments are a nice cheap buff, and virtually no downsides) are more OP.

I do not know how to play him, his Influence upkeep is crazy.
