More than one construction yard should allow more than one building queues.
Just a minor annoyance I found. I expected to be able to build/clear multiple tiles at once but couldn't.

Was also disappointed there wasn't efficiency bonuses for putting multiple farms in one plot. Its kinda silly the only thing that matters on placement is what % bonus the tile has. I always make an industrial zone and put all the houses on the opposite side

wait what...there isn't?

what's even the point of building another one then? What do you gain, just the resource outputs? Is it meant to boost production of a single stream? That seems counter to expected design

Yes, it basically doubles the production speed of buildings which is actually super important if you want to develop your few cities as much as possible. Can't afford to spend 4 turns on a single mineral extractor for the entire game.
Yeah, I guess that's fine...I mean I haven't played much but from my experience so far, minerals are the limiting factor, so unless I had a "rich" income of them I don't think a second production queue would be all that beneficial and I was looking for a way to increase production speed for buildings.

But does any tech exist that allows you to do that? Or every city only has one building queue?

Every city has only one building queue. It's the same if you build several barracks in one city - it'll speed up unit production (which is very needed for lategame units who would otherwise take 8-10 turns to come out) but it doesn't allow you to build several of them in parallel.

Getting one building faster and moving onto the next is better than waiting for two buildings to complete at the pace of one construction yard's production rate.

What I'd like to see is the Construction Yard letting you acquire tiles around where it is placed, rather than relying on the research (or Mutator) that extends tile acquisition range.
