More action, more immersive, better art direction, if you use the immersion mod in the workshop its got even better graphics.
I agree with that,ZEPHON is sharp and keen whereas AoW planetfall can become sort of tiresome, but is a reasonably good game.
- Both have excellent tactical combat, one on a special tactical map and the other on the map itself.
- Zephon has three distinctly different factions (Human, Voice and Cyber) while Planetfall has many, especially with all the DLC added and they're all different. (Of course, Zephon is only a week+ old at this point so that situation will change over time)
- Both have units than improve with experience but one has units that can be customised by adding cosmite enhancements and that's where Planetfall differs.
- On the other hand, some units in both get upgraded abilities from researching techs and that's where Zephon differs.
- Both have leaders who improve through both experience and customisable equipment. They're both similar in this regard but overall, I'd say that Zephon's leaders have more impact.
There are many more points of comparison but there is no guarantee that liking one will mean you'll like the other. But Zephon is the better game in almost every other way.
Zephon is just a better game.
