Hard difficulty, so +10 loyalty but with that mutator that doubles loyalty effects active so the AI advantage was double that.
I tried to befriend Practical romantic and Blake but PR was defeated amd Blake betrayed me in the last days.
Everyone is allied with Anchorite so they spawned 8 titans while Zephons only 4.
At turn 100 endgame started. I was behind my schedule since by then I had just started to pump out hades ans nukes. After 20 turns ALL the acrin titans and a dozen or so of anchorite and AI units appear on the horizon. Thanks to my tanks I manages to kill 1 titan, but 20 or so vanquishers and crusaders are lost and 5 Hades too, all of my tanks and planes.
But I managed to buy some time and thanks to the Aristocrat special actions I managed to pump one praetorian, one CTank and one nuke per turn.
I used the nukes to delete the minors while praetorians and the commander were holding the line inside my cities.
The titans managed to destroy one of my minor cities and even reached my second most important city while fallen soldier and emulated mind were sending troops (including atlas tanks) from the opposite direction.
Acrin titans are very strong but they struggle against multi entities units since they have a low number of attacks, they have causal well but I had enough medics and engineers to patch things up behind the front line.
In the end I managed to grind them down, praetorians deal ~30 damage to titans while titans dealt ~7 damage to them, counting causal well too.
I lost my commander but he and 3 praetorians near him managed to kill 3 titans by themselves and by that time the time had turned thanks to my 2 atlas and more crusaders attacking the titans and cleaning minors from the rear.
The only acrin titan survivor managed to barely escape, now Im preparing to hunt it down, destroy a few AIs and look for zephon titans. I will need Hades for those.
I really thiught I would not have made it but it was over in 20ish turns. I lost dozems of tanks, a few infantry units and one minor newly founded city
Thanks a lot that you share it.
I find it very exciting to read.
I see, there is a lot more to expect in Zephon and i have so far 80h in it.
This way the AIs smother you when you should expand, but if you manage get to late game they are still no match. They should focus more on spamming less crap and more late game units to the battlefield.
Seeing the last titan running for his dear life with 30 HP remaining was quite funny
Zephon titans are easy to kill with Hades while the acrins obliterate them. Praetorians are useless against zephon titans but 3 of them can destroy an acrin titan in a few turns. It's relative.
