Favorite unit so far
To me it's the Cr'la Disciple. Has a nuke, a devastating debuff in inevitable end (double damage taken for 2 turns) and a huge buff in form of Unholy Haste. Even better, it's a Voice unit, meaning you never run out of meat shields to keep him protected devastating enemies.

What about you folks? Any unit that surprised you with huge value?

Mine so far is Fallen Orolos, still only a few hours in the game though.

I'm still really early but finding the Human Commander to be very helpful. Good support buffs, good combat ability, and can take a hit.
The cyborg flier that can spawn 3 units of droids, 1 unit of repair bots and has a range 3 missile launcher

Absolute cinema of a unit

Valkyria is pretty cool imho.

engineers can heal all cyborg units, including infantry

Damn, still didn't try this one. Playing my first cyborg match right now.

I forgot to add, the Cr'la Disciple also only requires the initial resources, so it's light on the logistics - and if you're talking about the Chayot Exterminator it's also the case.

This game has some really cool mid tier units.

Chayot Executioner.
It is just so freaking good with the Drone Support. Hashimalim Host with that Core turret thing is a close second, followed by the human Tank.

Human Commander and Valkyria are the best Heroes, the Voice and Cyber Heroes are not very good in comparison, and die too quickly.

Engineers are absolutely indispensible and you should never leave home without a couple of them tagging along. They clear the Bleed, ruins and forests, repair vehicles and cyborgs, and can give mechanical units a temporary accuracy buff. The only drawback is that they suck at actual combat (but then, that's not their job) and building them prevents you from expanding your cities.

T1 cyborg infantry unit soo far was best one for me. They can carry hard early game with that self heal.

+2 agree, heroes are not the reason I like the other factions indeed.

Or the human basic soldier with both grenades researched and the Fallen Soldier leader regen passives, those guys allow you to skip a lot of units and go for almost a starcraft bunker + siege tank strategy.

Fallen Soldier have even better synergy with Outrider unit, convert this scout in deadly puch machine, feel like mongol horde with heavy guns instead bows )))))). later supported with tanks

Maybe, I just played with him once, but fully upgraded infantry + 1st hero bonuses -> bunkers with machine gun upgrade -> siege tank (with that incredible SIX range) sure felt really efficient. I actually used some cyclones alongside, but they felt pretty unecessary.

I'm pretty sure many strategies are viable. The fact that all of his units, bio and mechanic, have passive regen is simply amazing and probably the easier to use for new players, he is a great leader for that.

I suspect its a reason why he is autoselected on first game. Propably easiest hero to play.
