Unique Factions/Races?

Hope it will be close to Gladius and we will have at least 4 Unique factions at the start. By Unique I mean totally in terms of units, playstyle etc, Please no random +% here and there like in Civ games.

IDK, Jey. I think we can see at least 2 visually very different factions on screenshots. Look at red and blue one, One more like nornal humans and another mutants?

I would love to see four factions as well, all with unique and diverse units with varying technologies.

Gamers tend to be immature (makes sense, most are kids/teenagers), so there are always going to be some to label games as such. Sometimes they are right, don't get me wrong. In my opinion, it has little to do with immature and age. If a game is very similar to another one, then it’s very similar to another one. And worst, some games are actually lazy cashgrab reskin, and it’s true if i’m 9 years old girl with a deep understanding of life because of my social situation, or if i’m a 38 years old man doing nothing but trolling on internet from my parents-slaves bedroom.

That said, i have some trust toward Zephon’s team, even if i was expecting more from Gladius than only some paid units DLC, and factions. Like, maps and missions editor, better map interactions, more tile types, etc. I still like it a lot, but Gladius could be so much more...

I’m pretty confident Zephon is going to be something else than a reskin.

So from what I understand there are three distinct factions: pure humans, humans who obey the crazy machine intelligence and humans who follow the cthulu cult thing. You start as pure human, with modifers to your faction based on your faction leader. Than as you progress you can change to follow the other paths or stay pure human.

I would of preferred the Devs to focus on adding more Factions for 40K on top of a few more unit packs. To get an additional 5 Factions added for Gladius (DE, LoV, Gs Cults, Chaos Daemons, & Gray Knights) bring the total Faction Count to 15 would be a dream come true.

A new game from PS is still cool, but still so many units & factions to explore with 40K............... just so many.

Hoping for more playable races and factions myself.

If we have the chance to play as Cthulu like eldritch horrors or cyborgs that would be awesome.

Or at the very least, have it like Beyond Earth where you can change your people through technology (cyborgs, alien tech, purist etc)

You can play as one of three human factions - one alien aligned, one cyborg/machine aligned and one as regular humans. Not sure about other factions. There does seem to be an AI (Zephon faction) from what I have seen but some of the machines do not seem to be under its control due to it's postwar fragmented nature. Not sure whether the aliens are a true faction either, or just random groups holding positions on the map, or wandering around aimlessly.
