Character Creation Question

Is there any way to know how will the tarot cards affect my character status? I never understood how this system works

afaik, tarot cards are used/spent on your characters like i potion would, each tarot cards seems to have different permanent stat buffs. So you use the +int tarot cards on your caster, STR and vitality tarot cards on your melee guys and so on.

I think they're asking about the 5 tarot cards and the questions regarding your vices that you pick at the start of making your character.

I assume they affect your stats somehow but I'm also curious about the mechanics behind it

Yes. I was asking about the 5 cards you choose when creating the character. I know for sure that they change stats and affinity but I am not sure the specific details about each card changes

Your affinity is determined by your date of birth, I'm pretty sure there's a list in the archive about what month corresponds to what affinity if you want to check.

Still have no idea about the cards though

I've done a few run throughs with creating the main character and getting to the point where you can access the party menu.

While I haven't managed to pinpoint exactly how the starting tarots/questions affect the character, it seems like they only make a few differences in points (single digit numbers)

That's good. I didn't want to play the game planning my main character to be an STR one only to find that the cards that I chose make him INT focused

Stat growth is defined by the class, Tarots only give a little boost at the start

class always starts off as a knight but you can change it pretty quickly if you want to go ranger or mage or whatever else instead, you just need to have a class token (dropped by killing enemies with that class)
