I wouldn't hold my breath anymore. It's been so long since the last update, devs probably moved on.

That's my only complaint is you can't save like in similar games and come back to finish the job.

Players have been asking for this or years, dev's wont' fix it

I don't think there's anything to "fix". The game tracks each blade of grass, so storing that data of which have and have not been cut would create massive save files, tracking likely a million individual blades.

I base this theory on the fact the game was made by people who worked on the original Goat Simulator with Coffee Stain, and apparently there was a split, I guess, where the remainder stayed with Coffee Stain and made Satisfactory, which has "issues" if you try to defoliate the game world, resulting in save issues as it tries to track which trees and plants have been removed. It's feasible they use similar programming techniques regarding the grass.

My response to that would be, Farming Simulator. Every played any of those games? You can stop in the middle of any huge field, save the game and come back to it. If they don't know how to code this into the game, they should learn how. This one issue has kept myself as well as many others from buying this game.

Indeed, or for another example, Powerwash Simulator. That game tracks several layers of dirt down to tiny specks over huge surfaces, and can still be saved at any time within seconds.

Another good example, and a great game!

Same developer? Same engine? Not all are created equal. Maybe they're going full simulation where you start a job and don't leave until it's done. Granted, my Dad's 18 acres used to take 3 days to cut with a 32" mower, so the concept of stopping isn't totally alien. It's not going to regrow overnight as the game depicts.

If they are trying to go "full simulation" as you stated, then certainly the grass would not grow overnight, and you could stop and continue the job the next day. The name of the game is lawn mower simulator after all. Different engine, maybe, but I think it's just laziness on the developers part. Players have been asking for this feature since the game was released, and they never have addressed it, they just ignore it
