Not everyone wants to always play shooters all the time.
I understand, but why dont you just actually powerwash in real life, surely it would be more beneficial?
Its not that expensive and unless you have a disability, not hard to do.
I understand like Euro truck sim and stuff, not everyone has a CDL. But anyone can mow the lawn. Hell you can even do it for free if you want that bad. And you are actually mowing a lawn.
on a more serious note tho ill just add that, as a small scale farmer i have to admit that farming in games like harvest moon and wurm is alot more comfy than farming in real life.
i imagine lawn mowing is much the same
OP, you have at least 4,000 dollars worth of games in your library and 20,000 hours between them. It's pretty hypocritical to tell people "why not just go outside and mow" when you yourself clearly spend so much time gaming yourself. I'm not knocking on you for your hobby; but clearly you're doing the same thing you are criticizing people that bought this game (or are considering it). Going off of the value of your steam account, you could buy us some mowers if you want us to go outside and mow so bad. Trust me; it'd be appreciated
some of us enjoy landscaping so the theme interests us. personally, I like games where all I have to do is press 1 button and win and this game is perfect for for that. Especially since it takes between 5 to 30 minutes to complete a level, so I can hop on, putz around and mulch someone's perennials, and then hop off
TL;DR it's not nice to criticize people for their hobby. If people want to digital mow, who are they hurting? Aside from their victim's customer's yards, anyway. Why not check it out for yourself when it goes on sale down the road? You might end up enjoying it
Thats part of my question. I am more of an old school "gamer". Im not into these new age concepts of "games". To me this is not a game. Its a chore.
Im not criticising, Im simply baffled at why seemingly intelligent people would not want to do this for real.
Simulators are meant for people who can NOT do the real thing. Plane sims, train track laying sims, car sims, management sims. These are all things that require much time in real life to learn and do.
These "new age" sims its basically any ol activity turned into a "simulator."
Like the one gentleman said I feel these type of game prey on depressed people or something.
Why would anyone in their right mind want to do this in a game instead of going out, buying a mower. Or get a job at a mowing company. It just baffles me and I was hoping for some insight other than "Its a chill game"
My account is worth over 12k BTW :)
I also own or have in the past played aircraft simulators, ranging from working on them to actually flying them. So because I do actually work on them in real life, by your thinking, I should not be playing this game?
Flying/repairing aircraft and mowing the lawn are two totally different skill sets.
Basically it all boils down to the individual and what they want. Heck right now I am playing a fishing game. Why? Because it's relaxing. Most the games I own are relaxing. Most are of a simulator type, wether it be hunting, fishing, bussiness, city management, or even farm management.
Not really true. But thanks I will stop responding to the thread.
