Advertising does not bring in jobs, it just increases RP. As you level up as a result of increased RP, more jobs become available, advertising just speeds that up. My current company has never placed an ad and is progressing to more jobs just because I and my employees accumulate RP from doing jobs.
So I'm advertising with all available methods, and 5/5 available gigs were 300-600£.
I just don't see the point of hiring employees, career progression or advertising if the price of gigs don't go up.
Again, advertising does not attract jobs, it is just a way of buying RP.
Employees increase income of course, and allow you to act as manager by turning days over in a few moments or a few minutes as your employees earn cash and RP. You can gain a lot of cash and RP pretty quickly that way...
