Integrated Intel HD Graphics and a dedicated graphic cards
We always recommend using dedicated graphic cards with enough graphic memory on their own, rather than integrated graphic chips, which need „Shared Memory“, which will definitely impact the overall gaming performance and experience.

When using a CPU (e.g. later Intel i5-processors, as well as many i7-processors, or AMD equivalents) or a laptop with an integrated graphic chip, it might be the case that by default this chip will be used rather than the dedicated graphic cards, which may affect the performance of a game.

AMD is always using the dedicated graphic card by default.
Nevertheless you should always run the latest officially released driver for your graphic card, which can be found here:
http://support.amd.com/en-us/download

When using Nvidia, you can easily change this by doing the following:
  • Update the graphic card driver from the link below.
    http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Scan.aspx?lang=en-us
  • Then change the settings as described below:
  • Open your Nvidia Control Panel (right-click on desktop, select Nvidia Control Panel)
  • Select "Manage 3D settings"
  • Select "Global Settings". You will find the option "Preferred graphics processor". Please select "High-performance NVIDIA processor" and save the settings.
  • Reboot your system for the changes to take effect.

How to get help
In some cases it might be necessary to email us a savegame or certain files – in case you are asked to do so, please email them to support@kalypsomedia.com and provide them with details regarding the conversation that lead to this email or with a link to the steam thread describing your issue.

General Console Troubleshooting
When starting the game, the resolution zoom-level looks broken and/or there is a canvas cutting parts of the screen. What can be done?
  • In most cases, a feature of your TV causes the mentioned issue. Please search in your TVs settings for the "overscan" option and disable it.
  • Please note that, depending on your TV model, it might also be called "underscan" or "scan".
  • “Overscan” is an automatic zoom function of the TV, and it can cause this behaviour in some games. The game can be played properly after this feature is disabled.

What to do if the game does not run or start properly and/or crashes
  • First, always make sure your storage is not full. Even though the game is completely installed, a full storage can cause problems when playing games, not just Kalypso Media games, on your console.
  • It would be best to uninstalling old games, which are not played anymore, and/or delete savegames of certain games that are not necessarily needed.
  • If there are regular freezes or even crashes while playing a game, deleting and reinstalling the game might help.
  • To do that, simply go to your games’ library and navigate to the game. Afterward, press the options button and select uninstall. After you have uninstalled the game, navigate to your games’ library and download/reinstall the game. Wait for it to install and see if the reinstallation of the game fixes the issue.

Troubleshooting PS5
Rebuild Database
  • Switch off your PS5 using the power button on the front of your console.
  • Hold down the power button and listen out for two beeps (this takes approximately seven seconds).
  • Ensure that your controller is connected via USB cable. Turn it on. When presented with the Safe Mode menu, you’ll see the option to Rebuild Database.
  • Choose the option and press 'X' to Rebuild Database.
  • Don’t worry! Your screen will go black, and it could take some time for the database to rebuild depending on how much data you have on your PlayStation 5. Do not turn the console off during this process.
  • Once the console restarts, your database has been cleaned. You won’t lose any data during this process. All it does is reorganize your files and clear up your memory.

Commandos: Origins has been purchased digitally via the PlayStation Store, but it is not downloading, or installing. What can be done?

If the button displays a price instead of a download option after it was purchased properly, the item is not detected as purchased. In this case, please contact PlayStation Support.

DLC and content on PlayStation
Where to find additional game content, like DLCs, ingame and how to enable them?
  • From the Home Screen, highlight your game.
  • Press the Options button on your controller.
  • Then select Manage Game Content.
  • Select the Install icon next to the add-on you wish to install.

Troubleshooting Xbox
The console does not properly connect to the internet or cannot install/start the game. What can be done?
  • The main reason is most likely a missing update. Because of this, you have no access to certain features, meaning connection to the internet, and therefore in most cases no access to your games.
  • Just head into the “system” options on your console and manually trigger the “System update” in order to get the latest software for your Xbox and therefore access to all necessary features in order to download, install and play the game.

General advice regarding problems with the Xbox One
  • In most cases, the console just needs a restart in order to work properly again (especially when it was running for too long or too many updates, apps, or games have been installed).
  • To do so either shut it down via the Xbox settings. Simply head over to “Power & Start up”, select “Turn Xbox off” and confirm with “Yes”. After it was turned completely of, start the console anew.
  • You can also physically turn off your Xbox by holding the Xbox button on the console for about 10 seconds.

Problems with sound ingame
  • The first step should be to go into the Xbox settings and select “Display & Sound”.
  • Now you can choose the option that reflects your system – either HDMI or Optical – and then select the audio format accordingly. If you are unsure about which you are using, select the option “Stereo Uncompressed”.
  • If everything should work and is set up properly and still having issues, it may then be a matter of a faulty optical or HDMI cable. Replace it and see if that fixes it. If it does not work, you can always return the cable after contacting Microsoft.

If you are experiencing regular freezing
  • A “power cycle” (reboot of your console) might already do the trick. Simply press and hold the power button on the console for about 10 seconds. Ensure that the console has been powered down for at least 1 minute before turning your Xbox back on. Your console might take longer to start, but this way, it might already fix the issue.

PS5-Pro issues- I cant find anywhere else to report this stuff so apologies if this isn't the correct place.
Quick load sometimes brings across a ghost character or incident which occurred post quick save. Fix is to load the game from the pause menu instead of quick load. The in game help/tutorial tool sometimes displays a pink and blue chequered box instead of the button input. Operation Nightfall post game statistics shows Spy in place of the Sniper.
