Today's list of weirdness.

Did some more cleaning up today. Here are some findings for the devs to look into/respond. Writing this as I go.

I started playing the game in Fullscreen 1280x720. When you start up the game, it loads the Fullscreen no problem, but the game always starts in 1920x1080. Opening up the settings window from there, the option will say 1280x720, but it's only when you select confirm again that the game will actually switch to 1280x720.

Went back and got the Swirling Jo'keel photo. I took a photo of it, the game showed the notification that it was a new image and made the noise, but the photo didn't actually register when I went back to the hub. I think something similar happened with the Angry Beato, to be honest. I remember that image not working, then randomly working.
In addition, the photo of the Jo'keel itself is really finicky. The game no longer registers the photo when you zoom in on the Jo'keel too much. I currently have a 9 score, and the points deducted from it are the size (and angle cough). Trying to get a good-sized image without it no longer registering... is not great, to say the least.

For some reason, the live score viewer sometimes lights up on invalid targets. (Yellow bar goes up, no grey bar, basically showing it's a new photo) I've seen it happen most often near Crockasnaps, the ones at the end of the Winding Way, though I'm sure there are other places where it happens.

Still can't get the Boppasaur images at 10. Managed the Wullard one though!

Randomly thought about Feffo's racing minigame walking past him. I had to redo this a few times because I had no idea where the first checkpoint was to run into and as a result had no idea what I was doing. Maybe make the first checkpoint more obviously in front of you?

The vinyl player near Lil' Char doesn't do anything. Is that intended? Kinda weird. It doesn't have to play music or anything; there is already a vinyl player playing music in the area... it just bothers me that you can't interact with it lol.

I finished taking pictures of all the poses, double checking that I got them all... and the Steam achievement is not showing up for me. I wonder if something weird happened along the way with some of the poses not registering?
UPDATE: So... after the patch came out I went back and beat the game to take a picture of Alekon again. And then walking around in the hub, I noticed that Alekon shows up in The Archivist's archive, but is grayed out and can't be selected. Then... I noticed that Alekon is not in the hub anymore (again). Went back and beat the game again, and got the achievement this time from taking the picture of Alekon. So... something is still weird about the Alekon pose not saving?

Okay, that's all I got from my play-session. As always, thank you devs for everything!

EDIT: Possibly related, this game never finishes syncing with the Steam cloud for me: it just goes on and on, and I usually just end up closing Steam before it happens. I have no idea if that's something on my end or...?

Grumpy Beato was missing from the scoreboard in 1.0, so that would have been expected, and that was fixed in 1.0.2, so that's different from Swirling Jo'keel. I haven't been able to reproduce the photo not being scored despite registering, but it probably has to do with the other issue you're reporting, which is the size not being correctly calculated when close or zoomed in, which applies to several fast animations of small fictions. We're looking into it.

I haven't been able to reproduce this. When you are in this state, what happens if you take a photo? If you run into this again, could you take a screenshot and post it for us to look into?

Are you playing on Medium or Low settings? We recently noticed that the checkpoint visual is much less visible at those settings, and we'll be fixing that for the next patch (next week).

Very weird. So you had a valid photo of Alekon, then after the patch lost it by replaying the ending, then got it again? That doesn't sound like correct behavior. We'll look into it.

That's odd. There's little we can do about Steam's behavior after the game is closed, so unless this causes visible issues (and none of the ones reported seem related to this), I'd chalk it up to Steam's eccentricities.

That's super helpful! We'll fix the confirm UI sticking for sure in next week's patch, and we'll look into what might be happening with that score indicator.

Just to make sure, the Alekon photo is still not saving for me, though it shows up in the Archivist's list. I don't remember if that list shows off Fictions you don't have pictures for, but the Alekon pose not saving still after the fix is not good news.

Okay, cool. Also, I've been wondering how the picture selection for Hiraffe's puzzles works. I thought it would just take a collection of your best poses as selectable images, but looking at it, some of the images that are selectable don't match. Instead, some of the pictures that are selectable are older pictures with worse scores that I took earlier in the game. Also, there are sometimes less pictures selectable than I have poses for. I'll link some photos as examples. I think this is probably worth looking into?
