2 player?
Will it be a 2 player game in the future? I won't buy it until then. Need more couch coop like this!

The game used to have co-op tags on the store page, but they were removed on 28 September 2022 - https://steamdb.info/changelist/16189402/

Seems like co-op was ditched, and they "might" consider revisiting the idea in the future, according to the devs on this thread: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1479140/discussions/0/5769715023490856207/

Thanks for the follow up, guess I'll just have to be patient

Online coop would be neat, Nuclear Throne and Enter The Gungeon have local multiplayer but I really hate the remote play together trend.
In a game where reaction time can be really important, playing from a stream is so bad.

I'd prefer couch coop but would also accept online. Gungeon did it really well and is one of my favorite games to play with my brother. Darksiders Genysis also did a fantastic job of it.

I think couch coop is fine, it's really the remote play together starting to replace online coop that annoy me.
They should just include every options and let players pick and choose how they want to play.

What's wrong with Play Together? It actually hurts the developer's to use it since you only need one copy of the game. Seems counter intuitive to me from the dev side. I've seen regular online co-op where only the hosts progress gets saved, so why don't you like Play Together ? Are there other limitations?

It's that you play on a stream so the delay is a lot worse than if you would just have the game too and play online from my experience.
I'd much rather pay for the game and have less delay by playing online coop.

no coop no buy!

Ah interesting, I've never had an issue with play together lagging. It's just usually awkward to start games that way because every dev seems to set it up different.

Same here sadly. I only really buy multiplayer games nowadays, and our favorites are co-op rogue-lites.
