Does demo progress carry over to purchase of game?
As the topic suggests, if I were to purchase this game, would my progress I've done in the demo carry over or no?

It can carry over, but you need a new save to receive achievements. The DEMO save you created is flagged to not grant achievements, other than that its fine.

mine isnt :(
Bought the game after spending a few hours on the demo, then spent the last two days on the same save and i went to buy a new office and it says the feature isnt available in the demo

I am sorry but yes currently the is_demo flag is not being changed when you purchase the game. I intend to have this fixed / changed before release, but currently you have to start a new game. However, if you want to message me on discord I can manually fix your save for you. It is a pretty simple process, I just need your save file then I make a quick change and send it back. Is your call, but sadly the in game check to see if you own the product to change the flag is not functioning properly. I am sorry for the inconvenience, but if you have a min and discord we can sort it out. You can join the GDM discord or just DM me directly if you prefer

I was just thinking about this topic, and I actually have come up with a fix for the game to address this issue. I plan to have the German translations live in the next day or so and I will include a fix for this issue at the same time, appreciate you bringing it back to my attention. If you read this and you want to have your save fixed sooner, as previously stated just hit me up on discord and well set you up.

Just to update this thread, I just pushed a new fix into the game that solves this issue. Now when you continue a game on the retail client that was a demo save, it will convert it to a real save letting you buy office 2 and start to gain achievements. Sorry for any inconvenience, but it is at least working now, thank you for bringing it to my attention.
