Freud’s Bones is a raw diamond, that can be completed in about five hours. It is the debut game of Fortuna Imperatore, an emergent and gifted game designer. Overall, the experience is well worth the money spent. If you’re inquisitive about the human mind and its complexities, Freud’s Bones is for you.
Freud’s Bones is appealing in all its features. You can investigate the minds of various patients during multiple psychoanalysis sessions. You can empathize with the patients and recognize their traumas, weaknesses and heroic attempts at facing society.
All gameplay features support the main idea behind the game: inquiring the human nature by asking questions. Why do these patients seek a controversial Freud for help? Which are the causes of Freud’s crisis? Which parts of Freud are like our own?

This game is simply awesome, I only played a few chapters (and forgot it open apparently, so the hour count is higher than the real playtime) but I'd love to finish it in one session if I could.
I never studied psychology, but I read some excerpts from Freud's early and late years. I would consider myself fascinated by but not particularly passionate about Freud's work.
Despite that I read every informational text this game gave me. That is because it is wonderfully written (at least it is in the Italian version) and the balance between game play and informative moments is masterful.
I would suggest this to anyone interested in the subject, but also to those who want to enjoy a story-rich graphic adventure and investigative game.

Most importantly, this game was developed by a single person, who evidently loves videogames and Sigmund very much! Support her!

One of the weirdest point & click games I've ever played. Loved the story and Game Design which was made by one person. Being Sigmund Freud and having his twisted mind and saving/condemning his patients was a great experience as a person who finds Pshychoanalysis as an interesting topic. I definitely recommend this to people who loves point & click games with a unique story.

Lets get it straight out of the way. the first poem, MY GOD I literally had to look up a video on what exact words i had to choose. the hand writing as beautiful as it is, its sometimes unreadable. at least to me, who english is not his primary language.

But other than that, its a short game and in no means an easy game. I myself am affected by what I've learned from a mere game about psychology. but gameplay-wise. your gonna have your brain working like a machine to learn all there is about psychology (or at least the notes there is in-game)

again, in no way it's an easy game but it was enjoyable and most of all, eye opening. i wish to learn more about myself thanks to this game. i recommend it since it felt like a lesson or a reminder to me, and maybe it will to you too.

Great Game. Big Sad. Unexpectedly Spooky at one point.

It's good!

it's a good game, well thought, well crafted, original and most of all: it makes this tiny psychological journey, very enjoyable.

This journey's landscape is nonetheless the mind of *The Boss* himself (skin and bones, especially): Dr. Sigmund Freud!

It's just like making a game like No Man's Sky, where you pilot Einstein (and you can pick the late Stephen Hawking as alternate player).

In my open and enduring fight against misinterpreted Freudian dogmas, the mere option to have such a funny "transfert" is funny and original.

Note : It's very advisable for psychology students with yet open conflicts with the Father of Psychology: a very liberating experience! :)

The main issue of this game is its pace. It's a shame because I was truly looking forward supporting local devs but the game is slow at best, and a point and click/read at worst. Your choices feel shallow and trivial. I loved the representation of the Ego, Superego and Id but it matters little when it's not developed at all.

It truly is the little game that should've, but couldn't.
