Hudsight not working like it used to

I didn't use hudsight for months but I started playing rust again a few days ago and now the majority of the time I alt tab out of the game it causes the crosshair to disappear and I have to alt tab again to reenable it. I've tried all 3 crosshair modes on the current version and the old beta

Which game? EAC anti-cheat used? Real Overlay should be work, if this game is not fullscreen OpenGL or Vulkan API mode use. Send latest log files from C:\ProgramData\HudSight 2\logs to support hudsight.com

Rust is the game I've seen it happen on so eac would be used. I've tried all the overlay methods and default doesn't show up at all and the real overlay and gamebar methods show up but pretty consistently, when I'm using either one of the ones that work, when I alt tab to any other program then alt tab back to the game it hides the crosshair and the fix is doing 2 more alt tabs. This used to not happen and I never had to worry about if the crosshair would show or not

Also I just sent some log files to the support

i got it working, by having the real overlay on and white listing the rust exe. Then using the older version of HuD. When wanting to use the new version of hud it kept crashing with rust.

Talking about new and old it's better to say the exact #build, because there are too many of them now, and lately a lot of updates =] The working version with the old digital signature is V2 6910 on the "oldsign" beta branch. Anything newer than 6959, 6980 soon they are already with the new signature, which has not yet been added to the whitelist, so it is Hooks will not work, Vito while the other modes (Simple, Real Overlay and Xbox Game Bar) work fine and nothing crashes.

No matter which list is blacklisted or whitelisted, the main game process is rustclient.exe not rust.exe So it is important to whitelist it when using it.

maybe this is a better way to put it. as im playing rust, i alt tab every so often to do things such as check a message on discord or watch a video while its night time in the game. every time i alt tab, my crosshair disappears from the rust game. the only solution i have found to make the crosshair display on the rust game again is to press alt tab 2 more times. my issue is that the crosshair is not displaying in rust after i alt tab and this didnt happen previously

1. Are you playing in windowed mode or full screen?
2. What display mode do you use? Hooks, Real Overlay, Simple Overlay?
3. What version of the program?
4. Do you use a whitelist or blacklist?

If you use whitelist and Simple or Real Overlay mode, then when you alt-tab you have another program window or Windows Explorer active, which you have not added to the whitelist, so the sight is not displayed there. When using Hooks mode, the sight is drawn exactly in the game window, not in the center of the monitor screen.

By the way, in the new version 6980 we have added the ability to select the monitor on which to draw the sight when using Simple or Real Overlay, in other words multi-monitor support.

Hooks is not working temporarily due to EAC, update 6980 is coming out soon with an alternative solution. As I said, in this Hooks mode the sight is drawn in the game window, that's why when you do alt+tab in windowed borderless mode the sight was visible. In full-screen exclusive mode, the game will minimize in the taskbar and you won't see the game and the scope too respectively.

To make it always remain when using Real Overlay and have a whitelist, you need to add explorer.exe and those applications that will do alt+tab to have the scope on top of them too.

ohh i think i missed that first part about hooks being not working due to eac so thanks for the clarification. that would make sense as to why it stopped working recently
