No english at startup... only demo?

I played the demo first, the game was not in English. I skipped a info panel at start as it was before the settings screen... I wasn't sure what it said but I saw the letters "AI" and I just clicked a random button. I'm guessing it was something to do with the talk to the white haired girl?
I did buy the game partway through the first module, and I was relieved to see all the settings and such carried over. I did not get the AI question panel though.

Either way, I wanted to ask about "what was that panel?" and "Does the main game do this too where when you first load it up, you aren't given a language selection?"

That panel was asking if you wanted to do the tutorial.

Demo first. I haven't picked up the full game just yet.
