Annoying parts in main story quests (Spoilers)
So I completed the game on Gamespass and did all side missions to get all of the stories.
The only thing I didn't do was get all of the graffiti. It was for the camera only so no point in doing so.

But onto the main missions.
For a lot of the time the main hero act as I'd guess.

But we have times when he's basically pretty stupid.
He has a bow, got it early buuuut never uses it in a cut scene. Why? Why do you not try to use the bow in a cut scene?

Bad guy slowly walking away with back turned? Perfect time to shoot him in the back.
At least give it a try.
It makes for a more believable human interaction.
If not the bow at least have the hero try all of his current attacks. The fire blast attack is pretty good. But nope, never tries it. On ghosts that show up though? Oh he uses the wind attack right away but the moment he's left alone with bad guy? Nah don't need to use it now, gotta let the evil bad guy monologue.

Second time he was a bit stupid.

There is a barrier. He tries fist. Doesn't work. He tries fist again. Still doesn't work. Tries fist repeatedly. DOESN'T WORK.
At this time, I had fully upgrade all of my spells. Why not give them a try? Also I have the bow too. Try that.

Having him hit the shield with the fist like an idiot is not good story wise. Have him unleash his spells that he has gotten. You make your character use the skills you've given him.
You do this to show how strong the barrier actually is. It's just common sense. Otherwise I'm just gonna believe he's stupid and that he could have broken the barrier with some of his skills. As long as you do not show that I'm gonna believe that.

The third time isn't in a main story mission but some side missions.

So half way through the game there are some side missions where the main hero basically go "Why would we look into a urban legend?"
At this point I'm wtf mate? We've quite literally confirmed the truth of basically every single type of specter, spirit, ghost and the whole shebang in Japanese history. But somehow a spirit talking about an urban legend is something you now doubt?

Look, you can throw that in on the very first mission or two. But after that the main hero should at least stop doubting these rumors as false because every single one of them have been true.
Throwing this into side missions towards the end of the game is just weird.

I don't know if they plan to make a sequel because unless the main guy gets his power back we're just gonna be using bow.

Its probably due to the overall open world nature of the game. I played several games where the character or party would say something, as if it's somehow more far fetched then what they've seen already. As for sequel I kinda doubt it, with the success of hi fi rush that would probably see one over this game.
