Can anyone have an solution, the game become unplayable for me

After the update, the game could not run properly

At 60 fps is so lag that it is unplayable

At 30 fps it lags every 10-30 sec, and the cut scene lags every 3-5 sec

At the lowest setting( the graphic become so bad, it make my head hurts), still lack every minute

By the way, before the update, I can run at max performance smoothly with out any problem

Do anyone have the same problem, and have any solution?

Same problem here, before the update I can run it mostly @60 FPS, now I have so many drops to 20/30 FPS that it's basically unplayable...
Reducing the graphic settings doesn't help.

i Just retry the game again, and find out the following,

There is another problem, at lowest setting, the combat lag every 10 sec and the longer the battle, the faster the lag come in place.

I tried the side quest at the school, on the roof top battle, it become more and more lag as I continue to play,
eventually the game lags every 2-3 sec, even after the battle it continue to lag every 2-3 sec

And another thing is that, when go into cut scene it immediately freeze, I restart the whole procedure 3 times to get it work

This is on the lowest setting already, the game become really unplayable for me

I found the cause of my issues: the Windows antivirus!
I replaced it with Comodo Internet Security (uninstalled 2 years ago cause an incompatibility with Forza Horizon 5) and now the game runs without lag and extreme frame drops.

Performances are a bit worse than before the update but it's playable...

I have try the disable the anti virus method
become able to play at the lowest setting mode, the lagging issue is much better

when turn up the setting,
still unable play at max setting
at 60fps, although better but lag every 5 sec

and at the lowest setting at combat, will start lagging after 3-4 battle
the lagging will be about 20-30 sec
and the combat lagging will carry on to normal roaming mode after

And the more combat you do the worse it get
At the 7-8 battle, the lag become every 10-15 sec
And it will carry on after the battle too.

Stop at that,
suspect will get worse the longer the play time

please play more than an hour in the last two week, then commend

Try playing around with the SSAO options since the game defaults to an option that eats performance. If that doesn't help, maybe look at any background apps or overlays you have running and disable them.

I have try both already
When I say at the starting, using lowest setting, I have close everything off or switch to the lowest setting at the graphic setting (and the game graphic become so bad), and tried for about an hour and the problem occurs right at the start of the game.

And with BigTool4U advice , I have disable most of the background app and overlays
and tried for around 1 hours plus which result to the following

Problem did not occur immediately at the lowest setting but appear around after 30 mins in game,
and the problem starts from there

I really wish to play so I give a lot of tried on it,
But now the lagging problem does not go away
By the way, the com i built is a mid com built last year

I think I will stop at this point till the next update or so,
have burnt my weekend on it and unless there is other update or so
I think will pause on the game for a while

ye it was I reported to steam support which is gonna be wild I might just have to remake it but with title just "How to down patch game"
They claim its piracy/Cheating/ and or exploiting for #1 it can only be done via people who bought the game as steam console checks if you own the licence, There is no cheating, and steam console is free for us users to use and so is downloading previous versions so there is no exploit. so I wanna see how they are gonna try to weasel this.

some of my friend come and help me to see
then tell me that maybe the problem lays with the GPU(100%) too high

After limited the GPU(20-30%),even with the lowest setting, now have the problem of lagging every 3-5 secs

DO NOT LIMIT THE GPU

I see there is an update, and hope they fix the problem and came back to try
but after i tried for one quest,
normal roaming is fine
but when battle starts, it shatter and lag like hell

the problem get worse, previously the game still can go into 3-4 battle before the problem kick in

now just 1 battle?
really please fix it
