I honestly thought this always ran like garbage on the deck tbh, Maybe Its because i refused to FSR at at like 480p or something and still only get 30 FPS for a First person shooter game
honestly you can try down patching if youre not doing the new stuff

I downloaded this and started it on my deck. 6 fps in the menu and my deck went super nova heat levels. I closed the game, not sure why as i've never seen this happen before in any game.

cuz they add their demonware and mess up the performance. it took me 5 mins to get past the opening disclaimers before i even got to the menu. we live in an era where we have things like DLSS to make games run better, instead of actually focus on optimizing them so they can run better.

My issue with it is that launching it on the Deck after playing it in 4K on my PC, the menu was running at 2 fps as the settings role over to which ever device is used because video settings are stored in Steam cloud. I couldn't do much of anything for quite awhile to get to the graphics settings and restore defaults. Eventually I got there and was able to restore defaults but it was pretty frustrating to have the deck seemingly trying to run maxed out settings at 4K in the menu because of the settings are saved in Steam cloud.

The game runs pretty poorly though, at defualts with AFR2 set to performance mostly 30 and down to mid 20's, then sometimes 40 on the Deck. It stutters pretty bad also. Have to try lowering the refresh rate and capping the framerates in the Deck's power menus to see if I can get it to play smoother. I never played it before this latest patch so not sure how it played before on the Deck

really concerned about denuvo. This was running fine for me on the Deck last month, but I heard about this update so I thought I'd wait for it before playing further. I might just avoid updating my installed files now. 😬
*Sigh* and I'd got this nicely working at 60 on my Ayaneo Geek, with minimal settings that needed changing each time I swapped between the handheld and my PC. So much for that.

I guess you really should downgrade the game to the previous version if you really want to play like that.

Is there a way to install the non denuvo version using something like this

https://www.reddit.com/r/Steam/comments/611h5e/guide_how_to_download_older_versions_of_a_game_on/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=2&utm_term=1

I was considering buying this game, but with denuvo, it’s a deal breaker…

How is this s***? Seems in line for deck games at least it's getting 40fps.

Wait they added denuvo after the game was released?

Yes. Go check the store page, they added it into the game a year later.

Wow that sucks so this basically proves that Denuvo does indeed affect performance and pretty drastically too at least for lower power machine.

Not only lower power machines, but on everything that's not high-end, just look at how unoptimized some of the new releases are, they completely destroy CPUs, that and the CPU crippling nature of Denuvo.
