Denuvo no more!
From some random IGN article:

"The controversial anti-piracy measure was removed (via SteamDB) as part of an unscheduled update that arrived earlier today. This comes more than two years after Ghostwire: Tokyo originally launched, and with no comment or patch notes from the developers, it’s unclear why the move was made."

Expired license, I think.
Now you guys can prove that Denuvo has a negative influence on performance... right?

RIGHT!?
Have you guys tried it to see the FPS improvements?

No, but less stutter overall. Still as not as good as the release version before Spider's thread update.

I'm not familiar with that thread, but it's good to k now that it has less stutters. My FPS on this game was already optimal. Just the small stutters here and there that needed improving.

All stutters are UE4 issue now Denuvo. People who say that Denuvo have impact on performance are the same people who saying that Earth is flat, they always have some conspiracies
bless. ♥♥♥♥ Denuvo.

While I acknowledge that these issues may originate with UE4, the Denuvo implementation significantly worsens the problem. Your personal lack of stuttering does not invalidate the experiences of others.

The anti denuvo bros still can't cope post 2014... Lords of the Fallen shattered their minds and now they won't shut up about how Denuvo is the anti christ. Where misinformation and online drama are their only forms of evidence to a myth. Zap pow bang pop sizzle.
Yeah, I just gave it a go. Did they really remove Renuvo? It didn't change anything. It still runs poorly. I get more FPS, stability and graphics quality on Cyberpunk than on this game. But, anyway, I can't complain (much) since I learned that this company is formed by new young coders as this company invests in the future coders allowing them to get into the market. Sad thing is that this is a good game and it could have been much better if done by experienced coders.

When the denuvo infected version of GWT dropped, i got nothing but more stutter on my 2 PC, clean install. Guess what, because the old version is Denuvo-free, i can still play, even no menu bug when using ray tracing. How tf I would do that with the infected version?

I don't like the idea of buying a game that could "potentially disappear". Bad companies like Ubisoft have the power to revoke access. Reducing the use of Denuvo still a step in the right direction.

It's a shame developers and publishers, like this game company, are deaf to feedback anyway. Instead of wasting money on DRM, they could invest in actually improving their games.

Again, your personal lack of stuttering does not invalidate the experiences of others. The game is ♥♥♥♥ but denuvo made it ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

I can't.
But the stutters I keep getting whenever I move the character a few steps are gone after they removed Denuvo.:rdora:
