What will this upcoming update mean for my current saved game?
With all the new changes to combat, the world and missions, and story cutscenes, how will this affect my current saved game?
I'm not finished yet, and I'm not sure if I will get it done in time, if I aim to complete as much as I want before beating the game. Will the changes not take affect until I start a new game?

As the guy above no one knows, the fact they are updating the game at all is a shock but I'm not sure it will be enough imo.

Enough? I'm already enjoying the game a lot.
The story and side quests are weak, but the location, combat, and exploration is plenty for me.
And I think a good number of people are really looking forward to this update. I even saw one guy said they were gonna now buy this game because of this update.
IDk but maybe the people that cry about this game being a disappointment will finally be quiet now
Game was terrible but I'm very interested in playing it especially so I can get my 100% back.

What is a “good” number, from the update only thing of not was adding dodge to combat and some new skills what those are we don’t know or anything else for that matter. If it’s free I don’t expect much. If I wanted to play in japan I have yakuza for that. If I want a collectathon plenty of other games do that better. Combat it’s just the bare minimum and it gets stale quick.

That's why I said it's plenty for me. Not objectively. If the update won't be enough for you, that's fine. But it's okay for others to enjoy it.
Just because there's better options, doesn't mean this one isn't any good on its own. Otherwise all open world games would be trash because they don't have the quality Red Dead 2 has.

Never stated any of that, considering we only have the statement we don’t know how significant the content will be. You and others can enjoy it like the original release. Also I would never want any game to be like red dead 2 that game is way to boring for me anyway. As for me the game really didn’t need to be open world since it does very little with it, with some decent sidequests at best. As for the comparison you mentioned location, so I just pointed out a series that implemented it better and it isn’t even open world.

I get ya. I just like the setting in general, even if there's better options. I can enjoy both this and Yakuza.
But yeah, I already agreed that the side missions are mostly weak. The open world is not designed nearly as open as it should've. It only really opens up when you can access multiple gates, and that's not til' WAY too far in the story.
There were clearly creative/design conflicts between people during development.

Sorry for misinterpreting your point before.

It’s fine no harm done, as for the game it’s world just feels like it was made for collecting things, which is why like others we’d prefer something maybe hub based or more linear. Especially with the limited combat it gets dull rather quick. I can think of a few things to improve it overall including a dodge just gives another movement option.

Im not 100% sure if i will be right on this just a guess but usually anything dlc related usually happens after a certain point in the story, so i would assume you would not have to start a new game maybe beat the game for after game content but thats only guessing(off topic slightly i am happy the game is getting new dlc & more steam achievements it gives me a reason to go back to this wonderful game)

I agree, this update will be integrated into the game so it will not affect anyone's current play through.

I've seen this happen in many others games and this has been the case so I cannot seen why this time would be any different.

You shouldn't be sorry. He is from the very toxic hitman 3 forums. He is being different here but still you didn't really do anything wrong and he is trying to speak for others a bit too much. RDR2 and this game are both good games. Have you studied the effects that violent videogames have on people? Have a look at those forums and you'll see what I mean.

It is indeed wonderful.

To be fair the game isn't that long. 30-40 hours total should be enough to 100%. If you are already a bit further into the game you can easily push through until the 12th next month.

You can ignore him, he was given a temp ban on the hitman 3 forum. Which has nothing to do with this game, as for you stay on topic, I didn’t make the comparison to red dead 2 nor did I report you.
