Fatal error
I'd love to play this game however, I keep getting the fatal error message which instantly crashes my game. Is there going to be a patch for this? Is there any kind of fix? I have already tried to reinstall my graphics drivers and although it worked, it was only for a moment before it started giving me the same error. I would hate it if the game turned out to be permanently broken for me.

For me raytracing seems to be a problem. Since I turned it off, no more crashes.

This is still happening to me.

Even after the RAM replacement?

Yes. I also tried resetting my OS image. Complete reinstall of Windows 11.

Then after that ran SFC scan. Integrity is fine.

Must not have been the ram crashing it. Weird.

That was kind of what I initially thought about the situation at one point prior to now. Seems it will have to be isolated to some other factor this time.

Maybe the game doesn't like Windows 11 and my i9 12900k processor. Since it has the 8 performance and 8 efficient cores. Some kind of scheduling issue? I know a lot of games were crashing on Windows 11 upon launch of the system.

Potentially, though there could be more to it than that, since some Windows 10 users have reported similar from what I had relayed before, with Insider Preview Builds for Windows 11 potentially resolving it.

Otherwise, there is some other component that is to blame here.

Istead of Postin your specc,
you should read your windows event log

to open it, just type into cortana "event viewer"

open it, go to

Windows Logs
Applications

there look for ERROR, click it and read what caused the crash

It seems I fixed the issue.

I did two things:

Reimaged windows 11.

Turned off RGB game integration for Corsair ICue.

Now no more crashing in Ghostwire: Tokyo.

Corsair iCUE RGB software...Are you able to isolate the error to it in particular? Turn it back on to see if it throws the message.

The game integration for RGB needs to be disabled within Corsair iCue app.

I believe the crashes are due to the nvidia update that also came out today. Try updating.

Is this happening in very specific areas (same spot every time)? I had the crash in the past and the solution was to launch in DX11 through the Steam settings. Once I got past that crashing point of the game, I switched back to DX12.

EDIT: Launch options for the game is where I made the change for it to boot in DX11.

Same, prior migration. No problems with other games. And the crashes are random.. Played for almost 2 hours, then crashed. Then it started crashing in approx. 15 minute intervals.

well, its impossible to play, started playing and the game crashes every 10 minutos or so, sad!

Got this game last night, got issues with the driver, stayed up all night downloading windows 11 and Nvidia driver, and the culmative update, then deleted it in hopes that solved the problem.
Just to find out it was the devs fault for the game not working.
I'm refunding till they get this ♥♥♥♥ fixed.
Apoloyies for the mass pings, but see the above post.

Either reimaging the OS, or turning off Corsair iCUE's internal RGB Game Integration setting and similar settings in other RGB software appears to be a solution to this problem.
