Set the in-game x and y sensitivity to 1. Yes. 1. Then use your mouse software and set your DPI to something insane like 1600 or higher.
This fixed the mouse micro stutters (like your moving your cursor over a grid). Mouse is just as smooth as the controller now. HOWEVER, you are now stuck with said DPI in the menus, which sucks less then a stuttery in game mouse. Hope this helps and hope they do something about this.
Also, I would have no problems playing this game with controller, but the controller feels so strange no matter what sensitivity settings I use. It's all sluggish and stiff. Man, I waited so long for this game to. Trying to tough it out, but the input issues are driving me mad.
I see. I'll give that a try. An inconvenience for sure but my mouse thankfully has dedicated DPI buttons so I can just switch between DPI on the fly. Still not happy that this kind of a workaround is necessary. I rarely buy games on release precisely because of these kinds of issues. I'll keep my playtime under the refund threshold in any case for now.
You also don't want acceleration set to 100 like you mentioned in your post, you want it set to 1, then deceleration set to 100.
My problem with the game is the gliding controls. They are so sensitive that the slightest mouse movement can send me wildly off course. I can't find a way to affect just that.
