From my limited testing, SSGI. It does cause some weirdness indoors when light sources move offscreen and areas change brightness, but when I tried SSAO it made the hospital corridors blandly lit vs. having moody shadows in SSGI mode.

I wish they'd add an RTGI mode.
i use SSAO now, cause SSGI is far to dark in some corners. and this game is very dark in general so i cant see ♥♥♥♥.

SSGI simulate real time light bounce in screen space, the second closest to RTGI. It was added into newer UE4 post Gears 5 Xbox series X launch. SSAO has been around for over a decade, very old tech. So if you want quality, SSGI, performance = SSAO

SSGI looks like crap and takes a massive performance hit in this game. Just see for yourself. It's almost no difference to turning it off altogether. SSAO is much better.

It is your opinion, SSGI is way more accurate.

It makes sense what you say, but i got no performance hit because i think my CPU bottlenecks around 130FPS and gets outplayed by the 3080Ti. GPU calculates the Global Illumination right?

by the way, if i have no fps issue its recommend to turn DLSS off right?

Cool Link thanks. But when i go to the SSAO/SSGI Slider the Graphic looks much more appealing on the SSAO or am i disabled?

It depends on the scene.
For example in the hospital at the beginning, the corridors are more realistically darken with SSGI, where with SSAO it looks too much bright for the few light sources there actually is.

I think in the streets it is less noticeable.

I've been taking screenshots of different places of the game for the second day, comparing SSGI and SSAO, and neither I nor my friends and colleagues can clearly say which looks better. One scene looks better with SSGI, the other is better with the SSAO.

Thanks for your effort! But the downside is, that SSGI needs much more performance. So i think i will play it with SSAO :)

I have 9900K and RTX 3080Ti, and according to the results of my tests, I can say that the FPS difference is insignificant.

Nvidia itself in GeForce Experience, when setting the slider to "maximum quality", recommends SSGI: https://ibb.co/G3cFLxF

One thing is unclear - why couldn't the developers decide for themselves and choose one option? Or add RTGI. A very strange decision.
