DAOC was alright I played it heavily, DAOC was more of a laid back hand holder.

I'm just curious, if you're not a fan of Shadowbane, what even brought you here to comment? I played DAOC and enjoyed it, much like other MMOs. And I won't say DAOC helped the industry because it obviously did... but it is definitely not the end all or be all of MMOs (there isn't one). Go play what you like, don't play what you don't like, and let others do the same without fanboing or trolling in places for games you apparently don't appear to be a fan of.
