I figured out ways for all the other foods
does anyone have any tips for sugar?

Ride by the Felix Estate every day, there are always some sugar cubes spawned in at that little market stall in front of the gate, as well as the chest right behind that always has some. Also every one of the stone statues that you'll see by just riding around will have one sugar cube every day. The passage to the Lake house has a bunch of those, and in the Elderwood is also one location that always spawns them. Also ride around the mountain village, sugar cubes spawn on the tables inside the village as well as on a blanket towards where the builder lives.

Having a solid daily grind route will serve you best here, and a lot of patience. It's all about learning the spawns and visiting them each new day ^^
