Beginner's Guide?

There's a heap of posts about beating tier 10 but nothing on getting there with limited talent points and Zybe. I get the fun of the game is discovering what works and what doesn't but it feels like I'm at the point where I can't get anything to work. Currently I have 10 talent points (tier 3 in the unlock tree) and I can't find a build that works. Any help would be great :)

If your're trying to get presteige points your main goal should be increasing your collection rate. I would first look to spending your zybe wisley and getting more zybe through compression levels. Simple tips for a strong early build: don't buy slammers or mountainiers, go straight for bombers and archer building. Look for talents that will upgrade these like timeshift and superhot. If you get there, buy the GEET upgrade for your runners and then buy the XY missles from the house of shards.

After 2 prestiges or so, there is no progress.
Not getting any prestige points, and compression stuck at tier 7. Nothing bought makes any progress at all, feel like waste of money when the game grinds to a dead halth a few hours in.

If you're stuck on prestige 2, you are probably spending your gnorps too widley. You do not need more than 25 runners. Choose slammers or bombers, but not both. Stay away from mountaniers(for now) and buy a zygomorph when you can. Unlike most clicker games, this game is not upgrade anything and everything until you inevitably win. Some strats will lead you into a wall, just reset and refine the strat or try a whole different one. But do not attempt to play like a normal clicker game and just buy everything. The game is meant for finding new strats and refining old ones.
