Directors?

See talents for 2x Bonus and Arrow gather from Directors...am I missing something? How do you get/use Directors?

Directors are created by the garden (blue flowers I think?)

directors are blue flowers from the garden and the arrow retrieval is why you want them. spamming zybellium arrows from the left arrow shooter gives huge dmg buff. i also have 1 or 2 gatlers with arrow talent so they stick hella arrows on the rock

The main buff of directors give beyond the arrow retrieval is that they also give a buff to weakspot generation once they've been upgraded. This acts as a multiplier to your riflegnorp generated weakspots. Breaking weakspots drives accord overdrive damage.

I thought the bullet to arrow conversion specifically made arrows not stick.

You are correct, but there's another upgrade that makes the arrows converted to bullets stick (but makes all arrows less likely to stick as a small trade off). I don't recall the name off hand, but I think it's in the second to last tier of upgrades.

Edit: It's "Arrow's Last Hurrah" in the second to last tier of talents.
