trying to get to 21 talent points, but seems almost impossible
So close to beating the game.
For collections:
Primary collection: Mountaineers, mountaineers and more mountaineers. Upgrade them to max, and to power up them even further get the talents: "Hiking Buddy" and "Descent of the king".
Secondary Collection: I usually get 1 zygnorp, and have that one using the Mountaineer-inspiration.
Runners are pretty much useless at collecting, only reason I use them is to get the G.E.E.T chance up which means more rockets=more damage.
For damage not in a particular priority:
Slammers with Combo Power upgrade, (Not Fire Breath! , since that stops the combo), and for them the following talents: "Motivation", "Combo Power talent" and "The Flow", while using the Runner-inspiration
Archers with Ice Arrows and the talents: "Deals",
The XY-AB rocket platform, just get it. And runners to GEET. And talents "Project:constellations" in ordet to trigger critical hits generated by gun-gnorps.
Garden, using only blue and green flowers, and the zybe-upgrade to generate more of them. And the talent "Notes"
Gun V Rock: Riflegnorps with the talents: "Explosive Exposition", and if you have access to the last group of talents (I cant remember when you unlocked them) "Modern Warfare". This is where a big bulk of the damage is gonna come from
Baby Drones: spesifically baby drones in order to do damage, not to collect. With Adaptive Learning upgrade. The tricky part about these are that you need to stay in a single tier for an extended time in ordet to grind up the money and buy as much drones as possible. So I dont buy drones until tier 9, and even then its only for the damage for the final tier. Double the damage with talent: "Drone Capacity", if you have access to that.
So that would make a total of 11 talent points. In addition to the above mentioned I strongly recommend atleast "Extra housing" ,and "Bigger Pile", And if you have unlocked the last tier of talents, then "GnorpCalibur Unleashed" is a must have.
-------------
General Advice:
Depending on if you want to get more talent points, or just reach the following tier in compression events, one advice is to make your mountaineers rest, and to disable the zygnorps inspiration. This will nullify your collection and make the pile grow larger. Once it has gotten to a notable size, you can re-enable the mountaineers and zygnorps inspiration, this will give you a huge burst in collection rate, very likely enough to earn another talent point.
I would be careful with drones early game, you might end up in a bottleneck where the drones collect too fast -> the pile becomes too small for mountaineers to climb-> collection rate goes down-> rock starts to take back shards -> the money drones collect wont be enough to buy upgrades to crank up the damage against the rock -> game over. Happened to me once, so after that I`ve never used drones for collection.
Once you have the 14 tier get the shrine upgrade: power and vulnerability: empowerment.
Reclamation nullification is a trap, its okay early but once you have vulnerability: empowerment, reversal and reclamation: mitigation you can use the rock to shift everything to the far right side for you. And quite a bit goes straight into the stash too.. Its actually to the point where you might want to delay taking those upgrades.
Have you used the runner rest for constant motivation? You can get to smthn like 35+ combos for 10 hit babydrones. I'm debating if its worth giving up missiles for, but project: constellation and vulnerability are really quite good. Edit: Nvm it works with a different build but current build I'm working on has all the shards to the far -->
What's the full build you use? I can't get past compression 5/10, and I've only got 10 skill points to work with currently.
Struggling to figure out how to get further and move farther. How many of certain units to buy, etc etc. Can't figure out where I'm going wrong

So just need 5 talents here, I grabbed "return to sender" but didn't use it yet. Timeshift delivery, bathe in fire, superhot are some more good ones.

So basically, skip mountaineers and bombers (you still need their buildings).
Then get 10 runners and 10 slammers and some arrows. Build the rocklab close to reduce travel time (I forget if you have the bulb yet you can click it when the light flashes to move the orbs). Anyway upgrade ice arrows, runner capacity, speed, combo chance and wait for 12.5k, you can increase the slammer count if you want. Then build the gunners place, buy a gunner and set him to ice. Set slammers to runner inspiration.
Before getting your 1st zibellium make sure you upgrade runners for break, then spend it on firebreath and max out combo chance. Spend 2nd on rocket arrows and switch gunners to "normal arrows" (they lie). Keep archers on ice and should have enough for cheerleaders soon. Spend 3rd on a gattler and get the balloon gun. I float 2 zyb here because I have 1 extra from a talent I can't turn off and I didn't need the other.
Then max out as many gunners and slammers as you can get and set runners to break to compress the 5th wave. This demotivates the slammers so they won't spread out the shards because compression height is all that matters. I'd recommend next upgrades getting the negation, housing, garden, bomber timeshift (if you got the talents for it). I don't remember how far this build can take you though without deals and combo power.
Edit: Technically I have .3 more multiplier because another I can't turn off, so you may need to spend that last zibellium early or use more gunners/ slammers than I did. (Another reason I floated it was to make sure its possible on a real 10 point run.)
Thanks I'll be sure to give this a try and see if I can run any better! I was trying OP's skillset (as much of it as I could anyway) but I was finding it hard to get enough shard collection to get more talent points
But pretty confident my build is better for early compressions. Read combopower too! The best part of my build is you can turn all collection off and barely lose any dps (combo chance is a big deal in this build though). Only thing is, I don't know if the flow works with firebreath/ gattlerbreath/ rocketarrowbreath but I don't think it does shrugs.
Edit: So, "combo power" is a talent at the 14 tier and an upgrade so whenever I say combo power I mean the talent, I don't think the upgrade works with breaths.
