Prestige Bar Explanation
How does the bar even work? There's a black, white, and grey section. The black part moves left and right, so I have no idea whats going on and how anything works with that.

It moves from right to left based on your Collection rate (not Damage, though they are of course related to some extent)
The grey portion is locked in. You'll see a green pixel replaced by a white portion of the bar as your collection rate increases, which may go red and disappear if it slows.

Beyond that I'm not really sure. I have a feeling that if you can gain white bar progress you can lock it in and slowly hit the next milestone.

i.e. if it requires a total of 1B collection you could unlock this by doing (about) 5 runs of 200m each, as you could continue to lock in an extra 200m each time up to the total required.

That SEEMS to be how it works, but I could be missing the bar growing less each run or something.

Very unusual prestige system.

The grey part is your previous best, so unless you improve on that you will not get a point. Prestiging will not reduce the requirements for the next one, but spending them on some usefull talents will make success more likely.

I'm not sure if what you guys are saying is correct. There's a white part, a black part, and a grey part. If I put the workers to rest so I can do more compression, then it all goes black. There's no "previous" best or anything. It was filling up from right to left getting whiter, then it went all black. Don't really get what's going on.

You can literally just mouse over it and it tells you,
Green goes up when collecting enough stuff, turns red and goes down when not collecting enough, can go down enough to erase both grey and white.
If you restart the game with white bar it'll start that full.

I THINK this is false. I think the gray part is actually the prestige progress you banked from last run, and when you hit the prestige button, you bank the white AND gray parts. So even if you can't get the next prestige point in one run, you can get it in two or three or more runs.

Who would make a progress bar go from right to left, that's what I don't understand!

The bar fills from right to left and is based off of your collection, and I *believe* that it's based off of your prestige level(I can get to 10g collection and only fill a small portion of the bar whereas 2m collection was enough to fill the bar entirely on earlier prestige levels). So you need some portion of a level's required Collection before it will begin to fill.

The grey part of the bar is what is "locked in" and can never be lost, and fills based on resetting/prestiging while the bar is partially filled, and earning a level still leaves a portion of the bar filled in, I believe based on the collection rate that the previous level required.

The black portion of the bar simply means that that part of the bar is empty. The white part is the "current" collection rate, and will show green/red pixels to show that it is filling up or emptying as appropriate.

You can prestige without completely filling the bar as long as you add SOMETHING to the white section of the bar, and it will preserve and add that to your current grey level, meaning that you can prestige multiple times as long as you make SOME progress on the bar in order to get a full Prestige level, you don't have to do it all at once. At higher prestige levels this becomes effectively required, as the game doesn't include any further upgrades after a certain point and Zybellium is limited. You can only continue to level up by either playing runs longer and longer and longer, or by doing shorter runs that only fill a portion of the bar.

"oh no, this progress bar has 0% on the right and 100% on the left, however could I figure out how such a confusing progress bar works"
