What is compression?

I've put my little dudes on a break until "compression". What's that? Why isn't it mentioned anywhere? What do I press to activate it?

Yes, it's a bit of a trap lol
There is a bar under the mountain - when it fills, you get the compression event.

It is based on the height of your mountain :)

But because putting your guys on break stops you getting money, it can actually kill your run. That's what I did the first time :(

If this happens, and you can't get past it, you have to Prestige (button at the top) to reset the run.

I'm treating it like a bug at this stage. Catches a lot of players out.

I mean.. the rock doesn't reclaim until first compression? So you can only get stuck if you watched compression happen and then decided to buy breaktime, right?

It's not really, you can click the shards to collect them yourself (this gets easier with the talent that lets you click anywhere on the pile, and of course with an autoclicker )
