Story/Progression question

So im still pretty new to the game here. im like 30 hours deep but i just "beat" the campaign. i killed the sun breaker and thats that. im on cycle 4 and i have no story missions remaining.

i just want to ask to be clear, so i don't miss anything or screw anything up.
so essentially right now my goal would be to keep running cycles and farm reality points to max out its tree right? im currently sitting at i think 59/100 of tier 1

once you beat sun breaker once, on my next cycle are there new dialog options or rewrites i'll need to pay attention for?

i just keep seeing threads of people getting stuck further on trying to get the "real" ending and stuff. don't really want it to happen to me either

Killing the Sun Breaker isn't the last thing. Saving station 2 is last thing.

And yes, it's really strange that multiple times the game gives you a super generic splash screen implying the story is finished... when it's not.

There are 3 tiers of reality stream to max out. And the last and final things to "unlock" will be the pilot specializations from doing challenge level 15/25/35/45 of specific missions (each specialization has 4 tiers).

Unless there's something I missed, the main storyline (currently) ends when you "make a friend"

ok, so then I've just beaten the sun breaker. What do I do? It's just giving me the usual random missions on the map, i beat a few and nothing has changed.

Sound like you're getting normal ending. You will need to break your character (voluntary) and begin a new cycle to progress the story. In next cycle,you can aim for true ending.

For true ending, you need to defeat "Jolgen" that will randomly appear while you're on a mission before you go to kill Sun Breaker boss

I am in the same state but am not getting the voluntary break option, only ‘delete’. Any ideas?

Have you pushed the "Into the Vortex" button (IE manual break)?

For some people who want to know If you defeat Jolgen in the Vortex during your first encounter with him there, it counts as killing him for the next run.
