Stuck on "Rewrite the Universe"
There doesn't seem to be anything I can do, stuck in an endless cycle of re spawns because the 3 ships essentially 1 shot me and take almost 0 damage, even the focus beam does nothing to them.

Is this intended to make me re roll again or is it over-tuned?

Hmmm ok, I seem to be soft locked on this mission, cant leave it, cant start a new run

The solution is to go into vortex, aka rebirth, like its called in other games. Yeah took me 30 mins to figure out this too.

How? Only option I have is play and delete character really

Thanks for the feedback. This fight is intended to be super difficult, but fair, if you have reached it via normal progression. However, I have had a few reports of issues with its tuning as well as the confusion about what to do if it's too hard. I have logged this for improvement. In the meantime, you should be able to open your pilot dialog and break like normal (but let me know if that's somehow not working in this case).

Thanks for responding, totally forgot about the vortex option in the profile screen, loving the game so far.

I just reached this problem as well. Full focus beam will barely punch the shield on one of the ships. Instakilled or close to instant death. Omen 1, level 18, 150k damage output. Took the break.
I had to cheese this fight. Slowed down time and focus beamed it. Then I just had to build up enough focus for the other 2, died a lot but in the end I managed it. Still, the fight is way too hard.

Interesting, I wish I could find that mission again @ Rewrite the Universe. Ever since I got to the mission, was too difficult - break reality - > ran through a few different times & now I cannot find this mission again.

It's unfortunate that this mission is reachable when the player has no earthly chance of defeating it. Even with Hyper Mode and Fate Beam I can only bring the shields of a single Echo down to halfway before dying in the blink of an eye once my time dilation ends. Omen 4, Cycle 5, a handful of Epics fully rewritten -- none of it helps or matters. The tuning for this fight feels WAY off.
It's not completely impossible. I did it on cycle 5 with an epic swarmer. I pounded down the shields of one while dodging fire and forcing the others to dodge. Then chipped away at its health. It too a lot of deaths but I eventually killed one, and from there the rest went down pretty quickly.
naw this fight needs re-tuning .. I had to side ram them using the afterburner perk.. and even then it made no sense..

Thanks for the tip, that worked for me too :D
Given the game's structure it makes sense to me that most players get obliterated the first time they try this fight, but the game should make it clear how to give up.

I think it's good that the echoes have tons of health and shield (especially shield, one thing I dislike in this game is how you can corpse run most of it) but the damage output seems too high - even when encountering the solo guy in side missions my strategy was to alpha strike him inside the duration of the shield and time dilation talents because there was never any way to survive getting hit much and evading all the projectiles isn't practical.

I didn't exactly give up I was just suprised when afterburning into the 3 of them obliterated them one by one..

I was under the impression shooting them from behind would work, but nope so I found out by accidentally re spawning into one and hitting the thrust cause I may as well.
Try try again = you win

Mark me down as someone who got to this fight with a build that melted everything else along the story then got confused about if I was supposed to be powering up for this moment because it was way too hard. The thing that made that confusing was I didn't feel like I was told "this is a point of no return." At least other "you will die" missions definitely had a good reason to die, stated clearly to me, but this one doesn't blatantly have a new feature unlock so I felt like I should've been able to just teleport out to power up for more Reality Point gains before heading to the vortex.

What's even weirder is I was able to focus beam 2 of them dead but the 3rd one refused to go down after 2 more blasts. I got bored so I vortexed.
