Since I’m a solo dev I will be focusing on different things than the typical AAA ARPG would; I’ll be increasing system depth and making systems interact with each other, and especially focusing on using the Rewrite mechanic to let players control and customize a lot of things about how they play the game.
A core goal of mine is to see what players are enjoying most, as well as what they with the game had more of.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
Just to clarify expectations: The game is in a finished state, but you intend to keep adding onto the game for a while? Is there any kind of roadmap for what we should be looking forward to? Plans for PoE-like leagues or anything as such, to have an incentive to play a "reset" of the game?
Nothing quite so concrete at the moment. I'm focusing on addressing performance and stability issues being encountered by some players. Then I'll figure out what players would love to see in the game and align that with things I've considered adding / workshop it with the community for new additions to the game. At a high level, aside from unique new features I'm developing, I expect to flesh out the existing systems with additional mechanics and content.
The game is already built around this via the opt-in roguelite structure, and it's one of the things that players commonly tell me they love about the game - being able to get some of the experience of seasons without waiting 3 months and without worrying about the trading economy or server issues.
Answer this myself : yes, already collected sets upgrade themselves, there's no benefit to waiting to collect them.
