[Suggestion] After about 30 hours of playing these are some suggestions
I have played this for about 30 hours now and have a fully kitted out ship. Tactician is insane with double turbo lasers, synergizes with so many skills that my current output is 1.8M damage after some stacks and while moving.

HOWEVER, few things I'd love to add:
* more visible when effects are in action and how many stacks of different armors. Like add some info to the overlay. I want to know when I've been hit as it's not always clear for the "up to 20 stacks" items. Also it specifies "take damage" which should in my opinion exclude shield damage and only count for hull damage.
* PLEASE add a re-map for the favoriting. I cannot for the life of me favorite an item. I've tried every button combination of ctrl, alt, shift on I thought all buttons until one time where I favorited an item by mistake while fat-fingering and could never remove it. I think this might be a bug, but either way.
* More customizable UI. I'd like to chose what stats to add, maybe to the side of the screen below the portrait. I want damage output, haste and some others showing and it could just be a checkbox in the stat details menu and then you can move it to wherever you want.
* This one is a big one for me. Surge, Agressive engagement and Serendipity would be a great synergy, but my fate fills up in no time flat and S/AE doesn't activate unless you are picking up a Fate pulse. Currently this tier of passive feels completely useless since my pulses are always ful (I try to empty on everything I pick up but it's honestly difficult since I don't want to pick up so much trash). If there was a way to siphon the pulses without "entirely" pick it up (maybe it changes color after the siphon?) or just an option to pick up even when full it would be useful and awesome.
* Great addition would be a way to sort inventory and storage by specific affix, similar to the loot filter.
* This is maybe detremental or against the philosophy, so take it with a grain of salt. But a way to re-analyze equipment; or maybe analyze multiple equipments. Maybe you can pay Station 6 to upgrade their analyzer?
* This is a big suggestion. If you have a pay to upgrade the analyzer option the final tier could be to merge 2 items of the same type. If you have 2 great armors but want some stats from each it would be a really cool end-game option to merge these items.
* Similar to last item could be a way to maybe craft specific items using materials and low tier items you found. Or maybe drops from specific unique mobs?
* While talking about upgrades, if you could pay to upgrade the storage so that materials (maybe items?) could automatically be sent to storage from missions it would be kind of cool as well, especially early game when you fill up really fast and any drop you find is money you need.
* A cool thing would be for the rewards to increase in quality when you re-write to a higher difficulty. I'm looking for a purple sensor but can only find blue on the map; so I have to play missions with kind of "no reward".
* I hope there will be a legendary tier of equipment. Maybe requiring similar lv15 re-write missions like the aptitude ones?
* Please give the option to re-write mission again. I accidentaly put them at the wrong difficulty multiple times by mistake which is just a bit annoying.
* While on this topic; the equipments that has multiple tiers or multiple "trees" it would be nice if you could reset and pick another one if you want to switch up your build and optimize a bit.

These are just some suggestions that I found during my recent playing.
I understand some might be difficult to implement and also I understand some might not be your vision; but I figured I'd let you know what I think!

Lastly I want to say that this demo is incredibly fun, I can't wait to buy the finished game!

Oh, and another suggestion as well.
Bind skill-loadout to ship-loadout. If I switch my ship to my afterburner loadout I'd also like to switch my passives from surprise attack to super heated. Or you know, if my tactitian switches from primary to secondary only weapons I'd like to sub out some skills that doesn't work on secondary weapons.
I also ran into Surge, Agressive engagement and Serendipity being limited by filling up on fate pulses and not being able to spend them fast enough.
