LOVED the demo, wanted to give some feedback!
So first things first, I played through the whole demo tonight, and am so eager about the full game! It was such a charming little experience - pun only slightly intended.

I did run into a few little things I wanted to point out though for the team to look at! I'll put them into a quick list here:

  • In the character creator, I couldn't input a name without bringing up the on screen keyboard in Windows! Trying to use my physical keyboard just switched the game to keyboard controls, even after clicking on the field for the name.
  • Also in the character creator, if I selected a hair style, then picked a hat, then removed the hat, the hair style didn't return to what I selected.
  • Lastly, at the clothes shop, there wasn't a way to cancel previewing a given piece of clothing. It would be nice to be able to do that!

As for the actual flying around, exploring, charming, and herding stuff: all of that was so enjoyable and lovely! Didn't run into any issues at all there, and it had me hooked. I absolutely can't wait to do and see more with friends when the game comes out! <3

Likewise, I played the demo last night, and this game is just too adorable and smooth. Looking forward to the full release ^^
I came to see the discussions to give my little feedback, and I saw this post which was already going in my direction so, here are the little things that I would like to point out.

- I don't know if this will be the case in the full game, but it would be interesting to allow the player total customization of their character. I mean, select colors separately for his body. Hair, skin, nose.
Customization seems to be an important part of the game, so it would be a shame to limit it.
As a game programmer (in training), I suspect that this could complicate the character editor interface a little.
The simplest way I can think of would be to keep the current presets, and give access to another advanced settings window.

- If it's a chill game to play with friends, and share your findings, maybe consider a photo mode with some options ?

This game is so good that I can't find anything to add.
It's the kind of game that I would like to create myself, it has a real soul, and that's fundamentally important. Continue to take good care of it.

Thanks for checking out the demo! We're definitely looking at people's feedback in the forums.

I am one of those who prefer keyboard/mouse , but found the mouse sensitivity dizzying and was unable to find a way of reducing this. also, the instruction icons and letters are rather small, even on my 17 inch screen, so wonder if reading them on a smaller screen would be difficult. However, I have had recent cataract surgery and can't have reading glasses yet.

I agree with @grandma here.
I also play on KB/M and found the mouse sensitivity dizzying. And some very strange and sudden movements would happen at quitting out of a conversation.

Had trouble getting much help out of the map too - and also very weird that the 'cursor shape' on the map (tiny circle) was NOT placed where my mouse cursor was placed, but about 5 cm off. It would move in synch with my mouse movements - i.e. would move up when I moved mouse up, left when I moved mouse left etc, but all the time same distance away from where my mouse actually was. Very weird. And I couldn't get much use out of the map as it didn't really show where on the map I was or what direction I was facing. Maybe smth the map isn't intended for, maybe only to show roughly where we are - if lots of different areas in the full game?

Agree with @grandma on small text too. On a standard PC/laptop the instructions, icons etc are really tiny. And I have pretty normal sight ;-)

Also - tutorial needs to explain things better. I was stuck just flying around for the longest time looking for that thieving creauture - I was SURE I knew it was in the grass on that mound where Bessie was , but although I went there and looked around it was a long time later that the 'uncle' said that stuff about getting Bessie to eat the grass. Which felt a bit unfair.
And the explanation for how to get a creature to follow is VERY unclear - I still don't get what is meant by needing to have the 'sound waves lined up' so as not to spook them.
I felt I've tried lots of different things, but they all just fly away. I got tired of this after a looong while and did a save-and-quit to see if I could find some more advice on that somewhere, but didn't really. And going back in now, I see that it wasn't saved after all. And I don't feel like going through it all again.

So happy to leave it at that for the time being.

It looks reallly lovely, and I (mostly) enjoyed playing it, and will put this on my wishlist.

But hope that you will follow up on these isssues in further development.
I'll be following the game with interest.

It's probably been too late for a response to the 'sound waves' question to be helpful for @oldladygreybun but in case anyone else is struggling... The sound waves are the white parentheses (( creature )) on either side of the creature and your proximity to the creature will move a matching set, one on each side of the creature, in relation to the fixed set. When you have them perfectly or Closely aligned ( creature ) that is when you sing to entice the creature. Some creatures take more singing to join your flock than others. There is also a small audio cue to indicate alignment, at least on the first pass, in case that is easier to use than the visual.
